It’s Shadows on the Vatican.  When Rome was mentioned, I vaguely remembered a new Vatican game, but couldn’t remember the title.  I finally found the church picture on Moby.

I vaguely remember my high-school days (they all seem to mysteriously disappear in a who-knows-what-induced haze), and this game seems to be from just those particular moments in time (1991-1995)? Or am I completely and utterly wrong? Perchance another screenshot would stir my memory in the right direction, or at least invoke the masters of the genre to wake from their slumber?
