Is it decided how the games would be put into groups? Some randomizer I guess? (or a live stream with Bogi drawing pieces of paper from a huge bowl )

I’m already enjoying this moment, just before the actual tournament will start. Very nice indeed and I’m very curious how the final outcome will be.

Just a question: How will we actually vote within one of the groups or in the knock-out phase? Can we use the poll-feature for this or will it be responses in individual threads? A poll type feature would be great, because it provides very clear ranking and status, which is harder to get from various responses in threads.

i think the group stage would be too tricky to make work in a poll unless a service was used outside the forum.

My idea was that each member give different amount of points to a certain number (4 or 5) of games in each group. If it’s 5 games something like this:

7 points for the game (s)he thinks is the best in a lot
5 points for the second best
3
2
1 point for the 5th favorite game in that group

(this should be done in one post without further editing)

This is only an idea and can and will be changed by other suggestions that I encourage all of the participants to propose.

Also a poll or table with current standings at the top of the thread would be perfect, but I don’t know if it’s possible to be implemented.

This is the tournament I’m most excited about since World Cup ‘94

Oh, at first I thought those were the groups, and I was like “Damn, that first group is so stacked!”

Now I see why. 

Bogi, I hope that you announce all groups and the votings simultaneously. Otherwise it will take ages for this AG World Cup to finish!

I also noiced that 134 can’t be easily divided into same-sized groups….
(Aaargh!!! 135 was the perfect number to divide into 9 or 15!!)
