Today, I’m starting another short round of games I haven’t played, and for some reason I thought about Cryo’s Lost Eden. I tried reading up on it a bit, but I couldn’t really get a clear idea of what the story and gameplay were like. But it has dinosaurs! That people ride! That’s got to be cool! And supposedly it has a great soundtrack.

Does anyone remember that game?

I remember my brother playing it. Supposedly it isn’t all that great.

Cryo is a f… legend! They’re like Pink Floyd and David Gilmour’s solo - even if the song sucked, it sucked with a style. Grin

I’m not saying Lost Eden sucks. It’s on my “to do” list, but not before the Atlantis series.

Considering he said he hasn’t played the game, I doubt he was using any capture software.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Wow, this takes me back. A former classmate of mine (who I haven’t seen in over ten years) had this game and lent it to me (best guess: in 1998). It was an enjoyable game until I reached a game-breaking bug. My guess is that I was about 3/4 into the game at that point. Had to give the game back unfinished because of it.
Spent a lot of time looking for this game last year because I’d forgotten the title. Found it again when I recognised a screenshot in the “Adventure game scene… uh, game” thread. It’s been added to my list of games to play ever since… Grin

Cryo made good games (except Conspiracy/KGB which was brutally unforgiving), and it’s a shame they went under. Dune for instance was awesome, and the visuals were often ahead of its time. And Conspiracy/KGB had Donald Sutherland in it! Grin
