Trailer:

Wanted to post this since Quadrilateral Cowboy has won the Grand Jury Award for IndieCade 2013 beating out Gone Home and Kentucky Route Zero: http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2013-10/04/indiecade-2013

It’s a very nice looking game where you play a hacker attempting to break through numerous security systems for what ends? I don’t know. However, it seems challenging since the user will have to master the game’s coding syntax to break into the various areas and there’s lots of neat gadgetry in the trailer that it seems we’ll be able to fool around with. The developers are promising a 2013 release and the year has rolled by quite quickly so we’ll see how it goes.

Here’s the IndieCade 2013 trailer btw:

Blendo Games seem like a really interesting group trying to push what you can do with games and the way story is told through them. I saw some footage from the upcoming DLC to Bioshock Infinite and the way the game transitioned from Booker’s office to Rapture felt like it took inspiration from the story transitions in Blendo’s previous title, Thirty Flights of Loving.

Loved playing the demo at IndieCade. Its great to see more and more indie games put personality into the simpler stuff while escaping the need to over simplying a game concept into a 2d world. The gameplay is brilliant and very reminiscent of the love for fictional hacking techniques.

Looking forward to it. It’s a bigger game, right?

Crazy, next we’ll see a Kentucky Route Zero new episode…

Played 3h yesterday, not sure how much more there is left. It maintains que visual and story quirkiness of the other Blendo games but adds gameplay with the programing puzzles. Challenging but not hard so far considering the possibilities of the gameplay.

Anybody playing this and having problems? The final mission keeps crashing and it’s annoying I have to keep restarting it…

Edit: Ok, turns out I was trying to do something impossible and the game was crashing.
I finished it now, sweet ending. I liked the game, last mission was harder and more fun. I think they could have created more crazy puzzles but wanted to keep the story flowing.
I hope they or the community add more stuff using the systems available.

It certainly looks as though that’s the intention:
