King’s Quest ‘2015’ (All The Positive Talk)
I don’t blame you. I am feeling a little giddy that this is actually going to happen. A new King’s Quest - can you believe it? Fate threw us a bone in the shape of a goofy feathered cap.
I have a question, currently you can only preorder the entire completed chapters. Closer to the release of chapter one will they allow people to buy chapters separately, or will you have to buy the entire thing and then wait for the rest of the chapters? Sorry if this has been answered I didn’t see anything about it in this tread.
You’ll be able to buy only chapter 1 for $9.99 at the day of release.
So, new King’s Quest from “Sierra” is releasing tomorrow, strange days
Anyone knows when will reviews/impressions will start to show up?

Ironic, his daughter Zelda is playing a role in the new KQ. It’s her first voice work in a video game.
something that confuses me a bit:
it looks like theres two purchasing options besides the single chapter.. “complete collection” or “season pass”. The only difference i can see is that apparently complete collection has an “exclusive epilogue”.... thats kind of weird.
The Season Pass might be to buy episodes 2-5 after buying episode 1? I don’t know, I guess we’ll see tommorrow but seems the epilogue only comes with the complete season. - probably a small bonus thing.
yeah… needless confusion… i wonder how many people preordered the “complete collection” expecting to get all of the KQ games….
Out on PSN, played for 2hrs, damn the game is gorgeuos , like a AAA game.
Solid voiceacting and decent puzzles.
You need to get close to interactable hotspots by moving your character with joypad which basically is your mouse cursor alternative.
Saving it for later, i am feeling i am close to end the episode already.

The first chapter revisiting this classic series shows how adventure games should be done.
Eurogamer - King’s Quest charms and delights in its episodic revival
Game Informer - 8/10
So far, King’s Quest is remarkable in its ability to call back to the classic design of ‘90s point-and-click adventures without succumbing to as many pitfalls. The combination of wacky character interactions, goofy logic puzzles, and heartfelt story beats has me eager to see what’s in store in Chapter II. The team at The Odd Gentlemen has created one of the most endearing, true-to-form adventure games I’ve played in recent years.
Polygon gave it 6.5, prove of their worth.
Reviewers are quacks.
Destructoid 9.5.
If length is round 5 hrs, noway anybody can hate on it.
I would take Polygon’s review with a grain of salt. They did give The Last of Us a 7.5 when the rest of the world(myself included) thought it was one of the best games of last generation.
The Polygon reviewers seems to complain mainly that the game has no fast travel and that at least Xbox version has a lot of loading times that break the game flow for as long as 20 seconds quite often. I was left with the feeling that had it had a fast travel option it would have been 10/10, as they seem to like the story, puzzles and the overall presentation.
Just playing it…
Beautiful animation, design and overall look of the game…
Works great, locked .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).. And gamepad is recommended…
