This website seems pretty good for indie games. They’ve even got a top 100 anticipated list:

Haven’t been following dedicated indie sites for about a year, but yes, Indie Statik is/was quite good. The best at the time was probably IndieGames (most likely still is).

Bloom: Memories
Action-adventure-RPG with an interesting bridge world concept.

Released today, Shovel Knight. When I first heard about this I thought nothing of it, but it seems to be getting great reviews:

IGN 9/10
Eurogamer 7/10
Nintendo Life (Wii U) 9/10
Nintendo Life (3DS) 9/10
USGamer 5/5Destructoid: 9.5/10
Gamespot: 7/10
Polygon 9/10
Joystiq 4.5/5
Kotaku: Highly Positive
Hardcore Gamer: 4.5/5

trailer:

It’s suppose to play like a mash up of a lot of the great Nintendo/sega games.

^^^
Looks like total fanservice for Megaman and Castlevania fans.
Style and music of NES era.

Have to keep it in my backlog, not in mood of hard gameplay sessions.

Armillo. An action puzzle platformer. Bit like a cross between Mario galaxy and Super Monkey ball. It’s a timed exclusive on the Wii u right now: http://www.armillogame.com/

There’s something disturbingly creepy about old cartoons from the 30’s/40’s. If anyone made a horror game in this style I’d be having nightmares for years   Gasp

That something includes that retro VHS feel, that vintage look, that made
old Horror films like Exorcist, Evildead and Omen still creepy as hell.

The best thing about Cuphead is that Devs went to great lengths in making
the art manually on paper first then translating on Photoshop/Digital.
(else you cannot make it work like original feel)

I had this approach with my art portfolio too, unfortunately nobody
understood it and laughed at me. Pan

I saw a thing for Cuphead, I can’t believe no one’s thought to make a game in that style before, it looks so great.

Axiom Verge looks awesome, that macabre art style goes great in a metroid-style game.
And Bloom has some great art aesthetics too.
