Quern - Undying Thoughts (mystlike)
Anyone played this new release from Timovieman’s favorite genre? On first glance it looks pretty kewl, but that’s just me - I generally think any game where you run around solving one impossible puzzle after another in total silence looks kewl.
I’m about 10 hours in to it. And I must say it is quite impressive. VERY reminiscent of Riven. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a nice challenge.

This game is Fantastic so far…Myst fans rejoice. So far one of the best games of the year, I hope this continues. Not overly difficult posers, puzzles or conundrums so far for me.

Lol mind-boggling but game looks better than Obduction.

At first I was unimpressed (I’ve played too many poorly done real-time Myst clones) but it’s a really solid game so far. All the puzzles have been clearly presented and fair and I’m curious to see where the story goes. It could use a bit more variety in its scenery, but I’m enjoying it.
The game IS amazing, definitely a lot better than Obduction.
What’s wrong with Obduction in your opinion?

I’ve just started it and think it’s very good so far.
Obduction was great in my opinion. Fair puzzles, though some head-scratchers and had to resort to a little walkthrough peek once in a while. Gorgeous and intriguing. What more could one want?
Obduction was one of my favorite gaming experiences of recent years. Playing in VR probably helped a bit in terms of recapturing that sense of awe that Myst gave me as a kid, but it was really an impressive game regardless.

I like the trailer a lot. Are there real people integrated with the art in Quern like in Riven and Obduction?
