Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Thursday, 28 April
The Unfinished Swan (PS3, PS4) is a short experimental game. You start the game in completely white screen and your only interaction is painting the screen to reveal the terrain to slowly make your way through it. You can’t paint too much because too much black and you’ll can’t see the way again.
it’s interesting because, although the painting allows to see part of it, a lot of the castle that starts showing up depends on the players imagination.
The story is about a boy going through his mothers unfinished paintings, it’s ok, but it’s obviously just a tool to serve the mechanic.

I think that sums it up well for me. Got it on PS+ a while ago and at first was very impressed with the mechanic of the game. However, the magic started to go quite quickly and I think I gave up after less than an hour. Very interesting idea but not really practical in the longer run as there was nothing more to it than the mechanic.
So a bit like VR gaming then maybe?!
