Oooh, can’t wait! There even seems to be some outdoor areas to explore, too! Laughing

Yeah, nice to see more outdoor areas, it all adds to the variety.

Loved all of the teaser, but the best part was the music - really excellent.

Both, I think. This game can’t be good for my health.

Looks really good! Those open areas are a breath of fresh air. I just hope the game will have the same frictional level of freedom, unlike Dear Esther.
And I still think this is one of the best gaming titles Smile

SOunds like a giant pig with an axe…..That can’t be good.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I’m not so sure about the idea of a monster actually being some sort of giant mutant pig which seems a bit silly but this definitely looks pretty great. The first Amnesia is one of my favourite games of the past few years so I have very high hopes for this.

Frictional just know how to nail horror games so i am definitely looking forward to it. Doesn’t look like the graphics engine has improved a great deal, which is a shame as I thought they had teamed with the Dear Esther devs but it turns out it was the writer. Still the graphics engine didn’t make Penumbra or Amnesia any less scary.

That caught my attention, the original game enemy felt less intimidating to feel anything but this time i guess ChineseRoom nailed it , the atmosphere, sound and outdoor environments to name few correct directional changes. I am IN!

Looks great, but I also hope that we see some gameplay that is different than that of Amnesia. I’ll love it either way but think people might complain if the game plays similarly to Amnesia and has the same types of puzzles.

At a GUESS, I’d say that it will be a mixture - some things will perhaps remain the same (so as not to alienate existing Amnesia players) yet some things will be different (to ensure that there are new surprises, new types of puzzles, game mechanics and environments, etc).

But all of that is guesswork. Time will tell. Smile

The environments look stellar. Maybe not as great as source engine rendering like Dear Esther, but great nonetheless. Glad thechineseroom is apart of this.

EDIT: Why was this moved to general?

Good question, Amnesia is most definitely an adventure game series so not sure why it’d be moved here.
