Another adventure site posted the very sad news that Astrid died of cancer yesterday. I have never met Astrid in person, but I have known her online for over ten years. I read her articles and reviews here at AG of course, but we also traded quite a few games and we discussed our beloved genre on several non-English forums. She was an avid collector, very passionate and always willing to help gamers and developers. I will miss her.

That’s dreadful.

My sympathies to her friends and family. Cry

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

What a big loss to adventure community and Adventure Gamers stuff. My sympathies. Let’s continue loving and promoting the genre even harder, like Pollo would want.

Astrid was generous and patient, and her sense of humor made me laugh. She will be missed.
