Adventures worth playing from the last five years or so
I disagree. Beyond the pixel-art style, both Resonance and Primordia offer puzzles with multiple solutions, harder-than-average puzzles and multiple endings. The last one is pretty superficial in both, but the game “style” is quite similar, with the exception of Resonance’s more innovative puzzle mechanics.
Superficial? I don’t think so. Primordia is exceptionally well-designed. A lot of effort was put into Resonance, obviously, but the story and characters just didn’t interest me enough to finish it. And thematically the games are very different.

That’s a valid point. I value gameplay over everything else, but you’re absolutely correct the tone of the games is very dissimilar.
The Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us are more like Visual Novels really.
I think you mean “interactive movies”. Visual novels are a whole different beast.
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
