I just bought a boxed copy off eBay and I can't seem to run this game at all on XP. Anyone knows how to run it?

Have you tried Inferno's XP setup guide (http://www.home.earthlink.net/~infernofilecabinet1/XpSetUpWalkthroughsA_E/11thHr_Setup.htm) for the game?
There's a link to a patch there, along with other compatiblity options that may be worth a shot.

I haven't tried that guide...
1) This ain't working-
If you haven't done the "Ole' Scan Disk"...(in XP it's called "Check Disk") and Defragged recently here is a good time to do it. Go to-->My Computer-->Local Disc "C" ("C" is mine but your Local Disc maybe assigned another letter)-->Right Click-->Properties-->Tools-->"Check Now..." ->Make sure that both boxes are checked--> 1.)Automatically fix file system errors and 2.)Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.-->Click Start. You can follow this same path to locate your Defrag program as well or use Start-->All Programs-->Accessories-->System Tools-->Defrag Hard Drive.
I get this message when trying that-
The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility
needs exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be accessed only by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule this disk check to occur the next time you restart Windows?
I'm reading the guide now, I've downloaded the patch but can't find the 'v32win.exe' file in the 11th Hour folder.
I need to check the Video and Audio Acceleration and I don't know where that is.
I give up.

Try one of the beta players here (one worked for me but I can't remember which one now):

I got the game running on XP but it crashes to the Desktop whenever I click on a puzzle. I'll try and download another patch.
I tried all the patches in the link you provided, still crashes.

Poor 11th Hour... at no point in its lifetime has it been a game that is easy to get running. I remember having a lot of e-mail communication with the guys responsible for the game (Landeros and Devine) when it was still pretty new. Of course, I never got very far in it. Too hard. Still my all-time favorite packaging though... most notably the case for the CDs.

It works fine under DOSBox (if you want to get into that).
