Amateur Adventures for an Amateur N00b?

Thanks to another thread, I've just finished my first amateur adventure, 5 Days A Stranger. I really liked it. The writing, atmosphere and main character were all great. Anyway, I'm the newbie referred to in the subject line. And I know that there's plenty of people here that are not. That have played a fair share of amateur developed adventures.

So...

Basically, I'd like recommendations for all of those excellent games that I've missed. Preferrably murder mysteries and the sort, but any high quality game will do.

Rob Blanc wasn't Yahtzee's first game (was his first made using AGS though...) - he made the three Arthur Yahtzee games first.

There's "Cubert Badbone", a classic, though I sometimes wonder why. Perhaps because it was the only Scramm game that survived. Also, it's not BAD, but there's nothing really special about it, either. http://cubert.deirdrakiai.com

Then there's bunch of interactive fiction. "Spider and Web", "Rameses", "All Roads" and "Photopia" are my favourites. Use the http://www.wurb.com/if search engine.

None of these are murder mysteries.

It only survived SCRAMM because it went on to use another engine :P It was made using SLUDGE in the end, iirc. It is a great game though, really atmospheric. Apprentice is pretty great too, and there's a sequel on its way...

Yeah, I highly recommend Apprentice.

Perhaps the most professionally seeming game out there :D

Animation, music, art, all great. The game is rather short though, but, like has been mentioned, sequel be on its way. :)

Play the 2 Larry Vales games, probably the funniest amateur games ever.

I just realised though that I've got the BASS freeware on my computer, and I haven't started with that one yet. I made that one first priority. So far I love it.
