My younger sister gave me this game out of no special reason. She had found this place where they sold games INCREDIBLY cheap. So she bought me two games that she thought I could like. I must say that Shadow Of The Comet is really good although I am stuck big time and I haven't had the time to play it lately (or any of the games that is collecting dust on my desk) since school started again. Have anyone played SOTC? What do you think about it?

I think that its pretty cool, but the graphics are rather unpleasant to watch, especially on outdoor locations.

The graphics are indeed a bit weird. I think they're too blurry and they lack depth.

The story is pretty good, although I haven't finished it.

I think it is still the best adaptation of Lovecraft story in adventures. The game is intriguing, scary and very atmospheric.

Yeah I also thinks it seems like a really good adaption of a H.P. Lovecraft story, although I haven't finished it yet.

Had too many technical problems running it on today machines, speech would go all wierd, and game would crash soon after. I think this is very memory consuming game. The sequel did no better, graphical glitches all over. Must find me an old 486 to run these babies :)

To bad the new chapter of Call of Cthulhu will be first person game.

The sequel?

It isn't automaticly bad if it's play through first person perspective. But granted, I like third person more.

Yeah, it is Bruno Bonell's little Cthulhu gaming saga. But it's not a straight sequel however. Apart from the figure of crazy shaman those too have little in common.

I agree that so far this is the best adaptation of H.P.Lovecraft's terrors. What's moe it is propably the best horror in computer games history - especially final scene is awing masterpiece.

True, it's not straight sequel, but i was reffering to continuing series of Cthulhu games, with Prisoner being the second in series.

I bet this new game will be another standalone chapter, without any connections to previous games.

I think it's cool that your sister bought you games. :D

I think you're wrong. The new game is not a sequel to the first 2 games. It is even made by the other company - by Headfirst, if I'm not mistaken. And from what I've heard, they are doing a great job - inviting diffirent pcichologists, reareding all Lovecraft books to make a really scary game.

I must be totally in dark here. Will an educated man (or woman) please tell me about ALL the Lovecraft games that are being made.

Bring out your dead threads! *clang* Bring out your dead threads! *clang*

Still a great game. It's linear and well designed. Illsmouth and its inhabitants feel alive. Sneaking through the town and the woods at night is spooky.

I didn't make it to the end some years back, but this time, I will! ;)

Sweet game. Oppressive and very atmospheric.
A bit too unforgiving for my tastes, though. You'd better be sure you didn't forget to do things at the beginning if you want to be able to finish it.

Hm, I just finished day 2. I got stuck one or two times (That photo developing puzzle.. argh). The night of day two quite got my blood pumping. :D It's been a while since an, erm, adventure game managed to do that. :)

NOOOOOOOOO! I nuked my savegame (I accidentally saved 5 seconds before Parker is about to die..), and the last one was from day 2 before I visited the crypt. The chances are slim, but: Has anybody got a savegame from day3? :\
