Psychonauts: Please help!

I'm stuck in Basic Braining at the tightropes...When I'm on the 3rd tightrope from the top, I keep falling off and can't catch or jump to the next tightrope. Any suggestions? I'm on the PC version. Thanks.

Is it that tightrope you walk on after jumping on the trampoline at the kid's camp? Is it the series of tightropes inside Oleander's head? Give me a more detailed description.

I'm thinking it's inside Oleander's head. In that case, jump up on the tightrope you're on, then jump across to that one you said you keep missing. Do not swing onto it because you'll most likely miss.

It's the tightropes in Oleander's head. I've tried jumping also, but I keep falling. Do you just jump until you catch it? Jump and walk forward at the same time? It's driving me crazy...

Jumping and grabbing isn't that hard, really. Even I had a difficult time with that bit initially. Try jumping up horizontally and while in midair move forward. Whatever you do, try not to double jump. If I remember right I did that and fell.
