Technical problem

When i want to play Escape from Monkey Island, Broken Sword 2 or In Cold Blood i get a weird creaking noice init. I diden't had it before(as far as i can remember), and i don't have it with games like Kingpin, Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption and Ghost Recon.

Also when i installed Broken Sword 2 on my old Pentium 133 i don't have a problem at all.

I got an Intel Celeron 1 Ghz.

512 mb sdram

Geforce 4 mx 440

Soundblaster live! 5.1

Creative Inspire 5300 speakerset

Edit: I almost forgot i'm running Win Xp. My old P133 is running Win 98

You could try the following:

Goto start, run and enter: dxdiag

In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool program select the tab "Sound".
Move and decrease the "Hardware Sound Acceleration" bar one point to the left and click Exit.

Try the game.

If it doesn't work, repeat above steps and decrease the level of "Hardware Sound Acceleration" one point again.
