Hello everyone!
I'm veeery stuck right now in Still Life and it's driving me NUTS !
To enter the mourge you're suppose to use the access card in order to open the door, but how??
I have the card that i picked up from my work station, i've also gotten the PM telling me how to use the card.
I know that i'm supposed to slip the card trough the slide, but what code should i enter??
I have no clue as to how to open that door, and i've been wandering the halls for about 2 hours now... no such luck!

Anybody? :frown:

Welcome to the forum! *D

Most of us haven't even received this game yet. There are a few people playing it in French. But unless they can help, it'll probably be a few days (at least) before anyone is going to be able to help you.

Without giving too much away, how far along into the game are you? Near the beginning?

You have probably figured it out yourself already, but I'll give a hint or two anyway:

The code you need to enter is on the access card

And if that is not helpful enough: ;)

Sometimes letters can be numbers as well...

Okay.... i have a confession to make. I'm a complete block-head
You don't have any idea how many combinations i've tried so far.... what 30??
I still haven't managed to crack open that door!
If the rest of the game is going to be this challenging it will take me years to complete!

I beg you, give me the access-code... please...i can't take this anymore! I must enter!! :frown:

And fov? I'm at the very beginning of the game, just after the "demo" section :)

Haha, I donno :) I started playing the game yesterday evening and I'm really at the beginning! I must say that it sounds veeery cool! In Italy as well we just started playing it and there are no online walkthroughs...tons of forums, though..

I'd like to play it without hints/helps, but considering the amount of help-message posted on one of my favourite Italian forums, it seems quite hard...let's see.

They give you NO clues to complete the stuf they put in front of you.
I'm up on this attic now where you have to enter a combination to open a chest.....WHAT!!?

It's really impossible.. :frusty:

I too am stuck at the chest. Really reminds me of that puzzle in Gran's attic in GK1! I hated that one too!

On the access card - have you looked at it in your inventory and flipped it to the back?

On keypads letters correspond to numbers - The access is clued. I forgot to look at the card myself the first time I played this sequence so I know this one pretty well. ;)

On the trunk -well the clue is the necklace given to Victoria by her Grandfather - Gus. As to the sequence - well I usually brute force (meaning I just mess with them for a bit) these sorts of puzzles, kind of peaceful just flipping them. heh- Result is - I can't gve you the exact moves to get the hearts and diamonds turned correctly. :frown:

Ok, got the tumblers on that chest done, the necklace WAS the clue, very helpful.

I wish Gus wasn't in this. Brings back unpleasant memories of Post Mortem. Bleah ;)

Re : the trunk combination puzzle.

I found that the best way to crack the combination is to correctly set the 3 middle "wheels" first. Once you have done that its fairly easy to open the trunk.

Welcome to the forum, the_martian!

Thanks for the tip. I just used trial and error, but that info may come in handy if/when I decide to replay the game.

I did even worse than bruteforcing. I put this into an equations set and did some basic linear algebra :frusty:

Nerd power.
