I despise MegaTokyo. I used to read it regularly but it started to get really cheesy and melodramatic (not that there's anything wrong with drama, but Piro is not good at it all and he thinks he is), and when Largo left it just completely went to hell. Now all it does it have cheesy soap opera stories and poor humour while being completely filled with idiotic anime fanboy cliches. I hadn't read it in probably a year, and I went back last week or so and read a bunch of recent strips, then promptly vomited.
Anyway, dork that I am, the strips I DO read are as follows:
Penny Arcade (http://penny-arcade.com) (been reading since their first year of existence)
Player Versus Player (http://pvponline.com) (likewise)
Sluggy Freelance (http://sluggy.com)
Wigu (http://wigu.com) (the writing in this comic is so damned awesome, please check it out)
Real Life (http://reallifecomics.com)
Sinfest (http://sinfest.net) (this is so repetitive these days but I still read it for some reason)
Mac Hall (http://machall.com)
Diesel Sweeties (http://clango.org)
Exploding Dog (http://explodingdog.com) (not really a comic, but often listed as one)
Something Positive (http://somethingpositive.net) (thanks Tamz)
You Damn Kid (http://youdamnkid.com) (likewise)
Wapsi Square (http://wapsisquare.com)

Ah, damnit! I forgot Bob the Angry Flower (http://www.angryflower.com)! One of the most excellent, hilarious, well-written and well-drawn strips around!
And let's not forgot the absolute MOST hilarious, awesome, well-written, shittily-drawn-but-endearing-nonetheless comic strip of all time, fuckin' JOE THE CIRCLE (http://www.joe-the-circle.com).
It's the first webcomic I ever read, and as far as I know it's very possibly the oldest one there is (and if not THE oldest, it's probably pretty close). It's existed for quite a while now, but in its web incarnation it's been around since 1995.
Anyway, the artist/writer, Mike Shapiro, is also a film composer. He's been busy for a quite some time now, and he hasn't updated Joe since July '02, but fortunately there are some pretty extensive (not to mention hilarious) archives available. Once you know the characters, the series "Joe Gets Midieval" is one of the funniest things you could ever read. The best thing about Joe is that the comics don't hinge on a punchline. They don't even necessarily HAVE an ending punchlines. They don't need them because there's practically a punchline every two panels, and each strip is usually about 9 panels. The writing is (as I mentioned) great, the vocabulary is surprisingly broad (much moreso than that of most webcomics), and--I cannot stress this enough--it is hilarious. Hilarity is the order of the day over at http://www.joe-the-circle.com

I think I have the wrong sense of humour for white ninja .. I find it totally unfunny .. don't see what's so hilarious about complete randomness. Also, I thought RODT was kinda pointless .. and Wigu not really funny .. maybe cos I started from the beginning.. <shrug>

This thread is a godsend. I had to format and lost all the URLs {and I read quite a few webcomics}. One that hasn't been mentioned though is Demonology 101 (http://faith.rydia.net). It's a shame that the series is almost over though.

Gerbil, I happen to remember you as being a pretty damn sick and offensive person, so please, shut it. ;) Unless that was an attempt at comedy. It did not make me laugh, but it did make me insult you!

Well, since this has been bumped anyway, I may as well post this:
http://www.qwantz.com/ - Dinosaur Comics
Hilarity in dinosaur form. It uses the exact same graphics every single day, with different dialogue. Rather than coming off as repetitive, the static graphics just make it funnier, as the same pose is used to represent different things every day. Start from number 1 and just go.

Stupid webcomics! *runs*
I was surprised to find out that this (http://www.mnftiu.cc/mnftiu.cc/war.html) comic is still going. I found out about back when it was topical. A few of them are funny, but a large number of them are just stupid and/or offensive.

Upon Fhil's recommendation, I've started reading Demonology 101, and I'm really enjoying it! The art is cool, the plot seems interesting as well so far (I've read the first two episodes, totalling up some 120 pages so far)... I wanna read it all! :)
THANKS PHIL25!

Mall Monkeys! (http://www.mallmonkeys.com/?)
I read ALL the strips yesterday (over 200 I think) -- pretty good. I think that was over my annual dose of web comics.

Of the webcomics already mentioned, I read Penny Arcade, PvP, and Real Life.
Here are some other good ones:
Scott McCloud's Morning Improv (http://www.scottmccloud.com/comics/mi/mi.html)
Aaron William's Nodwick (http://www.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/index.htm)
I also discovered Derek Kirk Kim's webcomics recently. They are fantastically drawn. Although I am in the same age bracket as him, sometimes the strips can feel a little "angsty." Nonetheless, a great artist in his own right. Small Stories Online (http://www.smallstoriesonline.com/Comics/comics.htm)
