alrighty people, i got discworld and i can get it to play but there's no sound! i tried vdmsound but it doesn't work...anyone got the same problem?

(hehe, i bet people keep asking why i keep asking help for different games. this site made me dig up all my old adventure games :D)

VDMsound worked like a charm for me, so can't help you there. You might want to try using DOSbox, which emulates a DOS enviroment. Maybe that'll work.

i dont understand dos enough to figure out the dir and stuff, ah well, guess Win2k hates old dos games...

First off, are you referring to Discworld 1? I have Windows 2000, and haven't had most of the problems you refer to, except with King's Quest VI. Are you sure you were using VDMS correctly?

I too have Windows 2000 and have had no problems with Discworld and VDMS... I haven't tried for a few months so remind me; is there a set sound driver utility with Discworld? I have a feeling the answer is yes. If yes have you run that with VDMS yet to set the game up properly? Just checking just in case :)

i tried running vdms with the sound utility option but it seems to freeze it, i have no idea why

What sound card have you got and when was the last time you updated your sound drivers?

My sound dont work!!! can somone help please...!?
i got a soundblaster live card... what shoud i chose on the option screen? sound blaster pro or soundblaster creative labs...!?

PLEASE ANSWER need to play this game....!
