When all else fails, try Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00001NFRQ/qid=1101179099/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl63/103-5098720-0667018?v=glance&s=videogames&n=507846). Also, if you're willing to wait a while, AGD Interactive is working on a VGA version (http://www.agdinteractive.com/QFG2.php), which I imagine you'll be able to download for free just like the one they did for King's Quest II.

But I hope you manage to find a copy. It's an awesome game.

Wowee! I can't believe how much people are trying to sell it for on Amazon! Wow. I think I might put mine on sale there, I was going to put it on eBay but the QFG collection doesn't seem to be going for as much as it once did.

I also have the original QFG2 on 5 1/4 floppies, man that box is full of so many goodies.

I'm happy to sell either QFG2 or the Collection to you... for the right price. 8-)

Toefur, I didn't have much luck with this before. I was trying to get my hands on the Nancy Drew series and I made a deal with a lady from the Gameboomers forum to trade my Journey to the Center of the Earth for 2 of her Nancy Drew Mysteries and I never got her games. She got mine but I received nothing in return from her. I felt ripped off. She kept saying she sent them but after 2 weeks I asked her to send me back my game. Not a pleasant experience as you can see...

I would seriously consider waiting for the freeware remake to come out. It will have voice acting as well as other bells and wistles.

Ummm.. bells and whistles, yes. Voice acting no.

From the AGDI QFG2 FAQ (Man, that's a lot of letters)

Will you include voice acting like in the King's Quest II VGA remake?
No. There is much more communication taking place in QFG2VGA, and we feel that this game's characters would be difficult to do justice to in the voice talent department.

Desimaui, I'm sorry to hear about that bad trade. I have had a number of trades through GB and they have always been fine. Guess it only takes one to sour the experience, but it's a shame.

I am really looking forward to the Quest for Glory 2 remake. I have so far only played the first game (Sierra's VGA remake) and I got my hands on the collection and QfG5 earlier this year, but am holding off on finishing the series until Tierra's remake comes out. I'm too lazy to deal with the text parser. :D

ps Just occurred to me that this thread really should be in general gaming since the QfG games are RPGs... and I'm the one who moved it into the adventure forum in the first place... oh well. Blonde moment.

Im not sure if they are RPG or adventure. It's widely considered an adventure game but I have always agreed with you FOV. I've had my head chewed off on this board for calling it a RPG.

Adventure with RPG elements perhaps? That's what I call it. :P

QfG2's EGA graphics aren't that bad (not as bad as Space Quest 2 or King's Quest 1, 2, and 3) and you get used to the text parser as you play. But the maze in it is annoying. I hope AGDI can remake the maze somehow or provide you with a map and all locations from the start, except the ones that involve puzzle-solving rather than just blind maze mapping.
