This is my first post so hi to you all!

I was wondering if there were any adventure fans here who play some music. I am a beginner at the piano myself and I recorded the Gabriel Knight theme with the strings and piano sample of my digital piano.

If there is anyone else who plays some adventure game music and has the ability to record it please post your recording here. I'm very curious to your music talents :)

I can play the Leisure Suit Larry ditty along with the Conquests of Camelot opening theme. But they don't sound nearly as good as this. Great job. It sounds really moody! Almost exactly like the game!

I play the piano, clarinet and organ (the latter I'm failry new to). I also sing. I don't play a lot of AG music, but I have written the odd piece (http://members.sibeliusmusic.com/laceyware) (thou I lost a number of them).

Thanks Eriq. There's really nothing to it, it's an easy song. If you can, post a recording of the songs you can play.
That's about the only adventure game music I can play. I do play other game music though (final fantasy en xenogears).

That piece is not bad and actually would fit in an adventure game. The fact that you've written this piece prooves that you are no rookie. My piano teacher sometimes asks me to create a variation of a song and I allready have trouble with this, so writing a song is still out of my league.

The time I was just fiddling with a tin whistle (err) and found myself spontaneously playing the high woodwind part of Wolfgang's theme from GK1 is still one of the proudest moments of my life. :P

You did a great job on that remake. I really liked the guitar, it's not something you would expect and works quite well.
I'm looking forward to hearing the finished version.

That leaves only one theme of grace (a more difficult one :) ).
When I'm done with that piece (could take a week or more though) i'll post it here.

The part when the guitar kicks in sounds very close to a Castlevania SOTN piece, although I'm not sure if that was your target in the first place :D

I am terrible with piano, but still like to entertain myself by playing The Death of Dr. Carrington from Laura Bow: The Dagger of Amon Ra, or one of the Gabriel Knight themes I've found sheet music for. Also an odd Monkey Island number (Underground Tunnels, Jojo the Monkey :D)

Hmmm. I can play the Jojo the Monkey -theme from MI2, as well as the Phatt Island Jail -one and also Stan's theme from CMI. From Gabriel Knight 3 I can play Montreaux's theme - yeah, the slow version, with chords and all (I think) - and Grace's theme (is it called that?). I have to record those some day.
