Best free online adventure game?

Hi, I'm demented_yam, and i've been playing adventure games for 10 years.

anyway...

now that the introductions are over, i wanted to know what you people think is the best free online adventure game (and this doesn't include the hacked ones you can download online)

i want the 100% legal ones that were made for free online.


i have run out of ones i can get my parents to buy for me from the store, and i'm saving whatever money i have for gas, so i'm kinda limited to what i can get online.

Hi, demented_yam. If you're looking for games you can download for free, Revolution's Lure of the Temptress (http://www.revolution.co.uk/_display.php?id=10) is available as freeware now. Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen are also available for ScummVM (http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php). And AG has a whole section devoted to independent freeware adventures (http://www.adventuregamers.com/underground/index.php).

I don't know if I should be talking about this or not and if I'm out of line accept my appology. But have you tried abandonware sites? Some say they're legal some say not. I've been downloading from there for years. :)

Abandonware is not legal.

If the copyright holder has given their permission to release a game for free, it becomes freeware. The majority of abandonware has not been released by the copyright holder.
