I bought these 2 games at a garage sale shrinkwrapped and unopened!
"FABLE" released in 1996, from the screenshots on the box looked like the "LEGEND OF KYRANDIA" series and "CHRONOMASTER" released in 1995 looked like 'BLADE RUNNER" from the screenshots.
Anybody knows or played these games? What are your thoughts? Is it worth it to open and play them?

I played the Chronomaster demo years back - I remember it being quite fun, but I even loved atrocious games back then, so I honestly don't know whether or not I can recommend it.

I might dig out the demo disc again and give it another shot.

I had Fable about a year ago or something like that, I sold it to someone almost immeadiately after I had bought it, because the guy wanted to pay such good money for it that I couldn't refuse.

And I read reviews about the game being quite mediocre.

Although the box was beautiful.

I've played Chronomaster, but it's a few years back now, so I don't remember many details. As I can recall, I found it quite good. I wouldn't put it in my "top ten" list (or even top 20), but it is definitively worth playing.

You can find a good review of Fable out at Just Adventure, and a review of Chronomaster at Quandary.

I enjoyed Chronomaster. The concept was very interesting, even if it wasn't carried off 100% perfectly. They were some alternate solutions to puzzles, and I remember that it was frustratingly difficult in places. Worth a play, but keep a walkthrough handy.
