I was wondering if you guys kept any developer diaries throughout the project?

I think they're an excellent way of getting insight into how professional developers work and think :)

Also, are you planning on writing a postmortem on the project later on?

There are notes, yes. Also some video footage and photos of us ramming our heads into various monitors, crying or yelling at each other. :)

We will get around to doing something with it. Some day. When I've slept enough. :)

Probably much later. I always thought of such things as stress capturers, like where Tobias scribbles in crayon "That Martin - he is looking at me judging me. Must. make. plan. "

cough, seriously they are great to read -- and give a great deal of insight into how decisions were made, changes implemented and why. How temporary problems came up and how resolved from a technical/design angle.

Invaluable as a teaching type tool or for new developers to learn from.

That would be so cool. I am really getting a sense of Martin's warped humor - with his 'super-secret supersecrets' and his 'Writing down every freakin little detail of a game can be a kind of terror' comments. *D
