Sherlock Holmes: Silver Earring - Grimbles's office

I am in Grimbles's office and found the threat note under the cat, opened the safe behind the picture and turned the nose on the elephant (what was that for???). The drawer to the desk is "closed" - none of the office keys work - even tried using the knife (I was desperate - OK?). In the room with the bridge - he needs something for the hole by the miniature people. I found the key, by the way, which I assume is for another door later on. Any hints would be appreciated!
