Hello guys...this is my first post in this forum, although i've been coming here for a long time...
Anyway...i'm trying to get "under a killing moon" to run on my computer. I actually managed to run it using a boot disk but during the installation it doesn't dedect the soundcard for digital samples , the midi works fine though.
I have these commands on the autoexec.bat...
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H7 P330 T6
SET SBPCI=D:\PROGRA~1\CREATIVE\AUDIO\DOSDRV

Is there something else i should add?

And, btw, while i'm asking this i have another tex murphy related question. I'm thinking of getting "the pandora directive" ,so to anyone who knows this, is it possible to die or to come to a dead end in that game?...that quesion applies to under a killing moon too.

Hi Keregioz. :) I can't help you with your problem, I'm afraid, but I can answer your second question.

Yes, it is possible to die in both UAKM and Pandora Directive but as long as you save regularly it won't hinder the game too much. These are the only times you'll come to a dead end - then just reload yur last save game. It's not that often that death situations come up though and when they do they are usually fairly obvious (although I got caught out a few times  ).

Hope you get your game running OK, you're in for a treat with these two games when you do. ;)

IIRC UAKM had a setup page you could manually enter your soundcard details in. Have you instructed the game where all the doodats etc are on your soundcard?

Failing/apart from that are you certain those are the IRQ and DMA settings your card likes to use? (You double checked them in device manager in windows?).

You could also try using DOSbox, which emulates DOS under Windows. You wouldn't need a bootdisk that way.

Oh, and WELCOME to the forums! ;)

You have to actually load a DOS audio driver for your sound card in addition to having the settings. At least I do.

So... do you have any idea how to do that?...
I try to run a file named sblegacy (which i think is for that purpose) and it says that it can't find the PCI device...

Do you have an actual SoudBlaster sound card? Or is it an integrated sound system that emulates SoundBlaster? If it is really a SoundBlaster card, you can go to the website for instructions about getting and loading a DOS sound driver. (And yes, a DOS driver may well be included with your SB drivers, but it still likely needs to be loaded in your autoexec.bat or config.sys on your boot disk.) If it is an integrated emulator, you will have to Google around and find one that is compatible with your particular chipset.
