The Space Bar-problem with Click flashback

AWESOME game! but....

I'm on the Click flashback. I'm following the walkthrough so I know I'm doing it correctly, but just can not escape the policeman. I'm pretty sure it's a timing issue. Tried Cpu Killer to no avail. Did anyone else have problems here? :pan:

Turns out the instructions from the walkthrough (only one there is, to my knowledgE) are just totally wrong!
Lady Kestrel from GB offers this correct solution:


After turning off the door alarm and answering the phone, swing east, north, north, west, and southwest to pick up the lunchpail.

Swing northeast, east, east, and find the knothole with the coin (use tail to pick it up).

Turn to the south and untie and drop the south vine.

Swing back to the west and untie and drop the south vine here, too.

Swing east, southwest, south, and west, and set the controller again (to 4650). Walk west back into the room and wait 3 turns until the code reactivates. Go back through the door. Swing east, north, northeast, and northeast. Walk east to Hollow Wood and Vine.
