Where's the Westerner adventure? I can't see it anymore on the hypemeter. Did it release or was it canned?

They have a publisher for the U.S. and it should be released this year - although I thought it would have happened by now. I'll see if I can find out more.

I missed that one. Sounds like the game is a big disappointment. Thanx

I'm not sure where your information came from, but 3 Skulls of the Toltecs will not be included with the North American version of Westerner. Revistronic's rep told me this at E3 and I sincerely doubt it has changed.

To be completely honest, a bunch of people like the Westerner a lot (mainly those who have played the improved version), and a bunch of people don't like it much (or not at all, like me).
As for 3 skulls not being included in the North American version, I find this odd. Why would some publishers (like the one who distributed it in french... bug-riddled but with 3 skulls included :frusty: ) do this and others not? I doubt it would cost very much...

Steve Ince said that in the revolution forums. The rest of the information came from the Revolution crew themselves.

Yes, but he said "supposed" and said nothing specific about the US release.

Steve was likely speaking in general regarding the worldwide release; to my knowledge, almost every other publisher in the world is including Toltecs with Westerner, but when the contract was put together the North American publishers were adamant about not including it. This was all told to me directly by Revistronic.

Okay, if that is true, sorry about the inconvenience.

Why would North American publishers be adamant about not including a free game? Since the game is so rare it would probably boost sales. Is there a reason I dont know about here?

None that I can think of. And certainly none that the Revistronic rep knew of; he sort of shrugged his shoulders in disbelief while delivering that bit of information to me. The publisher probably believes there are about 5 people in America who have any idea what Toltecs is and/or what it's worth, and that the extra effort to include the game would not have enough impact on sales. It's a cruel world, I guess.

Back to bidding $350 on the original version.

Brilliant marketing in action, I guess. [shrugs]

Aha, that's nice... Do you come from the land down under?
It's funny, 'cause I've been listening quite often this days (and never before).

Ouch.
I guess I shouldn't cry so much about having had to pay 50€ for the Westerner, then. I guess I won a lot of money.
