Broken Sword 3 problem

In BS3, when in Prague, playing as nico impersonating Petra I'm having problems opening the security door in the castle. I have the validated security card but every time i approach the door the door handle is the 'selected' object not the card reader and Nico refuses to use the card on the door handle (as you woould expect). I have approached the door from ever angle at every speed but the door handle and the card reader are just too close together. Any suggestion on how to select the card reader rather than the door handle??

(I'll send you my save game file if anyone wants to try it out.)

I had that problem too on my ps2.
Isn't there a button to chance the thing you're looking at or don't you have to give someone thecard so he can do something with it but I'm not sure.

I had the same idea after i posted the question, i checked my controls menu and there was I pressed that and it selected the card reader. Problem solved :)

P.S. How was it playing the game on PS 2 were the controls ok?

It was horrible on Ps2, the controls were bad and the loading times were way too long. But I loved the story.
