Indiana Jones: Emperor's Tomb - Stuck !

Hello fellow gamers,

I'm playing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb and have patch 1.01 installed.

However I'm totally stuck in Istanbul, the secret of the mosque - part 1. Just before this chapter ends I'm suppose to swing over water (with a shark). I'm standing on a lower ledge and can see a arch of the corridor with a lamp.

There is a wall of rock-debris in the water on which I should land by using my whip. All walktrouhs say: jump as far a possible and use the whip towards the lamp.

I have tried it already 100 times without succes. I'm about to give up ;(

Is there someone who can tell me exactly what I sould do ?

PS: I have the save game with all chapters completed but I feel like it kills my pleasure !

Okay, this is one of the trickiest moments in the game. Of course it's possible to reach that room. Firstly, find that part of the ledge that's closest to your target. Then time your whipswing carefully so that you catch the lamp on your jump. That's all I can say (and anyone else who's played the game can tell you), other than getting rid of that pesky shark before your next try.

Um, feel free to cry out for more help. Especially when you finally come across THE ABSOLUTELY MOST CRUEL PART OF THE GAME: Von Beck's Revenge. You think your current situation sucks? HA! http://smilies.jeeptalk.org/contrib/ruinkai/FIREdevil.gif

Well, the lamp isn't exactly already at your level when you jump, is it? Time it carefully - say, a split moment after you jump.

I gave up when I reached The Emperor's Tomb. How could they ruin an otherwise good game by suddenly ramping up the difficulty to an extreme level, even on Easy?

The trick is to wait long enough untill you're a bit lower than the lamp before using the whip... real easy once you got the hangs of it :9
