title - In Memoriam
genre - Adventure
developer - Lexis Numerique
publisher - UbiSoft
official site (http://www.inmemoriam-thegame.com/index2.htm#)
I'm really surprised no one here has mentioned this game. Very little press coverage, which is strange, considering that it's being released by the presently ubiquitous UbiSoft (Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time), and that it's supposed to come out in less than 2 weeks! (October 16 to be exact) It looks absolutely intriguing!
A suspense thriller mystery adventure in the spirit of such movies as se7en and The Blair Witch Project, with inflections from the game Majestic. The story will have you investigate the mysterious vanishing of two young journalists, consequently whisking you away to locales like Paris and Istanbul, tracking down information, studying clues, and tackling some dark enigmas. The main feature of the game is that you will move beyond the game to use the actual Internet as a key part of your investigation, along with seeing disturbing cinematics, websites that may or may not be real, saturations of the occult, and archaeological references. If anyone can add more than I have, please do! Thanks. I'm hoping this game will be a cool new adventure experience.
The website offers an atmospheric trailer.

Looks very interesting. I've always wondered why internet hasn't been used as an active part of investigation in a game more often.
Although I'm not really a fan of these types of adventure games, I might look into this one.

Cool art, the premise is a bit like The Stone (http://www.thestone.com/). (Players have to use the internet and possibly other sources to solve the puzzles) The trailer indicates that the game uses FMV cutscenes, which in turn reminds me of Spycraft. (Spycraft was FMV-heavy and also had you going online to gather additional information on both real and fictional webpages)
This game certainly has me interested. Strange that it has had almost no media exposure... it isn't mentioned on Ubi Soft's website, either.

Found some more at Ubi Soft's store:
A unique investigation experience to track a serial killer.
Reality and fiction are blurred in this movie style thriller game.
Enter the game of a serial killer using e-mail, the internet and movie footage to solve his puzzles in a dark and thrilling environment.
Features:

- The Serial Killer rules the game and manipulates the player how he wants. Can you out fox him?
- Total immersion, with 40 puzzles to be solved.
- Absorbing and never seen before script: the Serial Killer holds all the cards. You must interact with him to get the clues needed to solve the mystery of Jack Lorski?s disappearance.
Captivating and strong atmosphere taken from the best Thrillers:
- Feel the suspense with high quality sound and visuals.
- A credible and breath taking script.
- Inspired by movies such as The Silence of the Lambs and Seven?
A blend of reality and fiction:
- Based on real facts.
- You will have to visit both real web sites and extremely realistic fake sites, created for the game and integrated into the world wide web.
- Receive More than 40 e-mails, which build the story and are integrated in to the script.
- More than 45 minutes of real movie footage, featuring professional actors, and many sequences created by the Serial Killer.

Heh heh, the game is also thematically similar to The Bone Collector (http://www.thebonecollector.com/home.html), that movie with Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. This is so uncanny, for a long time I've wanted an adventure or adventure/action game that pits the player against a highly intelligent serial killer, and now I'm getting my wish with In Memoriam and the upcoming Hannibal (http://hannibal.arxeltribe.com/) (providing arxel tribe can still finish it).

I heard about this some time ago and was also wondering why I didn't hear much about it. I went to the official website and was quite interested, then I thought I heard it was released. Obviously not  I totally forgot about the game since then, but I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it now. Fascinating concept. I hope it pans out.

I hope this is future proof though; if the sites go down then your £30 game is non replayable. Thats the only problem I see with it in the long term.
But it is intriguing. The Da Vinci Code book mentioned in the Chit Chat forum had a pretty fun online set of puzzles that worked quite well as part of the promotional campaign for the game. So good in fact that I'm actually going to read the book. So online fake websites etc can work really well and draw you into a mystery I think.

That's what this game made me think of too, Dom, but I was afraid to mention for fear it would start another discussion (http://www.adventuregamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=325) on the impropriety of referring to Leonardo da Vinci as "da Vinci..." :) But yeah, that was a good bit of multimedia fun, and it sounds like a similar but simplified idea of what In Memoriam will try to pull off. I look forward to seeing whether they can do it.

No it isn't. Find the money, find the marketing talent. Your existence will not be known unless someone heralds you. You could have the most brilliant game on your hands, but it's worthless until it's well marketed.

If I might offer an observation about the marketing of adventure games without having my past rhetoric held against me......
I have long held that adventure games should be marketed on TV. In particular, the American shows 24, The West Wing, Law & Order, and CSI are natural advertising spots for adventure games, in that they attract upper-income audiences who own computers and have above-average intelligence, enjoy a puzzle/challenge, and are in the "demographic" age group for the genre.
Why don't publishers take advantage of this marketing possibility? Because sales report figures show that there aren't enough adventure games purchased to justify spending the money for such a marketing campaign.
But... there is a fly in the ointment that keeps the marketing people from seeing the audience that exists.
Most adventure games are NOT purchased in stores, but are purchased online. This is partly a matter of mall penetration (or lack thereof), and partly a matter of the fact that stores don't carry many adventure games. This leads us to the real crux of the matter: MOST ONLINE GAME SALES AREN'T FIGURED INTO SALES REPORTS! A retailer must actually PAY in order to subscribe to the two big online sales reporting services. Very few of them do so. EB doesn't. GoGamer doesn't. The end result is that the majority of adventure game sales aren't ever tallied in industry reports.
This leads into a tightening circle: Publishers don't realize exactly how many games they are selling, and cut back on both production and marketing. Retailers see that they aren't selling many adventure games (largely because they don't order/carry many adventure games so people are buying them online) and they cut back on the number of adventure games they pre-order for their stores. Mistakenly low reports of sales figures convince publishers that they don't dare spend money marketing their next adventure game....
It ain't right, but it's how things are. Wanna see adventure games marketed better? Write a letter to your favorite publisher explaining that he needs to ignore what his market analysts tell him and ask the "guys in the factory" how many copies of a game they actually sold. ;)

I'm surprised that's not how publishers derive their data. You'd think it would be easier for them to get data directly from their own sales reports than from a third-party organization. Go figure

What? It was that easy? I don't have to produce non-existent statistics about how most adventure game sales are never reported? ;)
Intrepid Homoludens
10-06-2003, 01:43 PM
I prefer you did, but as you stated, there are no stats on online sales of adventures. http://www.computerpannen.com/cwm/otn/confused/ne_nau.gif How do you convince publishers to reformulate their marketing strategies if you can't provide them with evidence, but how do you get evidence when it's not available as a result of incompetent sales stat gathering?
BTW, I can say with much confidence that I represent fairly well one target demographic for adventure games. I have a college degree, shop online for my games, I frequent bookstores, electronics chains such as CompUSA and BestBuy, I frequent cultural institutions (museums, concerts, cinemas that show indie and foreign films, etc.). I can imagine TAC and Microids showing trailers for their games at the cinema before the movie comes on, I can imagine them showing commercials on such cable networks as Bravo and American Movie Channel, and even on PBS. I can see display setups for their games at my local Border's Books (near the Harry Potter display). I can visualize posters for an upcoming adventure game on the wall of my local coffeeshop.

The only feasible way I see is to convince publishers to all chip in a few thousand bucks for the creation of an independent sales reporting company to which online retailers could report without it taking money out of their pockets.

I commute into the city to work (but plan to move back into the city in a few months). On the train I've seen several people using their laptops/notebooks to play games to pass the long ride (anything from solitaire to a pirate strategy game to even first person shooters like Jedi Knight 2), something I would do myself if I had a laptop/notebook (I'd play adventure games). Why can't publishers advertise their games in poster form in train stations and airports?

We're forgetting one thing though; developers (like Pendulo) often start working on their projects without a publisher. It's hard to find a good publisher, especially in this genre, so I guess there's not much to demand. Most developers are happy if they'll receive a decent amount of royalties.

We're forgetting one thing though; developers (like Pendulo) often start working on their projects without a publisher.
Truth is almost all adventure developers start and finish their game without a publisher. The standard deal is we package your game - charge off all our alleged marketing costs against royalties owed. If the game is sold through one of our retail partners - oops any special sales prices get charged off against your share and so on. And as for the royalty amounts - you would be shocked. Tri-synergy is a big step in the right direction for adventure games. They partner with the developer and do deals similar to current book publishing deals. The developer actually gets money worth talking about. Any developer who lands a decent selling game - can;t wait to pull out of their "publishing deal" and self publish. One look at Microids and Syberia 2 is evidence in that direction. If a publishing deal was that great for them - why not re-sign with The Adventure Company? Not that some developers don't have the clout to pull in sweetheart deals, but for the most part they just hope to re-coup some of their solitary expense in building the game in the first place.
As for marketing - adventure games are at best interactive graphical stories. SO they should be partnered with book stores. MOst adventure gamers (though not all to be sure) are readers. eg. Nancy Drew games - have a joint display of the books and the games. Now you don;t need to explain what they are - they are interactive Nancy Drew stories. Sold to all who buy the books. If its Schizm 2. Put it on display with all the anime and sci fi graphic novels (fancy word for adult sci fi comic books) Is it a horror fest - well I know where it should be displayed. Great or even decent adventure games are more than games. They are tales with believable characters and amazing locales, challenges and music to soar with. Put them with movies and books. Don't shove them all within twitch games and traditional games. I enjoy those too - but they ain't the same and shouldn't be sold the same way.

Though I don't particularly disagree with any of the suggestions so far, I have to say that Trep and LauraMac have really hit the nail on the head with the bookstore idea. You're not going to catch any more hardcore adventure gamers (or hardcore anything gamers), but you're going to appeal to adventure's still-biggest (I would think) untapped market, which is casual or non-gamers. Those are the people who would probably enjoy a game, but who maybe don't have the best computer available and who don't have the finely honed reflexes to properly enjoy a more action-based game. Please note that this last comment has nothing to do with point+click vs. direct control, I'm simply saying adventures in GENERAL are slower paced and thus more manageable to non-gamers regardless of control system. I also like the idea of matching games to their "genres", so to speak. Adventure games can be varied enough that this is a real possibility. People like us play all the (good) adventure games around, but people in bookstores who wouldn't otherwise do so are probably only looking for the type of thing they already enjoy.
Bookstores are already expanding their inventories, with things like graphic novels, CDs, and other non-traditional bookstore stuff, so it would seem to me that story- and dialogue-based adventure games fall into a natural progression.
DomStLeger
10-08-2003, 12:09 AM
I think this bookstore idea is very good... perhaps one of the adventure publishers should do a small scale trial; with a display of free demo CDs and games to buy in a small chain of bookstores local to their business? I'm not sure about the demographics etc; but logically adventures are not massively removed from books and so perhaps as you've all said it is worth trying.

You don't have to be connected all the time, only when you actually surf the web or send/receive e-mail. The developers say that a 56.6 Modem will do the job. The cutscenes, music and overall content will all be stored on the CD (It must be, only logical explanation that it's modem-friendly) so it won't put too much of a strain on the bandwidth.

The primary reason I currently have zero interest in playing games on cell phone or even a GBA is that the damn screens are the size of George W. Bush's brain. I can't possibly keep squinting just to hit some tiny target. I've tried playing with my niece's GBA and it's crappy, the way you have keep your eyes 3 inches from the tiny screen. The sound quality is laughable. Another reason is that the games available are nothing I'm interested in, the majority of game available for handhelds and cell phones are arcade games, they are fecking boring to me. I hate sidescrollers (sick of them, I grew up playing them), racing games bore me, etc. I'd love to play Broken Sword on a GBA, but I can't justify buying it just for one measly game. I prefer to wait until the technology catches up to the high res quality of a small computer monitor, and even then I may still not be interested.
As it stands I would rather play a game on a laptop riding the train for an hour, or at a coffeehouse as a break from working on my writing, or if I find myself on a long flight to Paris or somewhere and I want something else to do other than reading a book or writing in my journal. You see a pattern now, don't you? My purchase of a laptop would be for my writing and my personal work, not for gaming, which would be an added bonus.

And, FWIW, I agree with the points you make about GBA and the like (though I am kinda interested in Wario Ware (http://www.gamecritics.com/review/warioware/main.php)), which is why I bought a music player, and not a game player. :P I've given up *writing* music for the time being, as I've been going through a pretty serious I'm-not-worthy spat for a few years now.

Here is about the fact the game is using Internet and they re talking about Majestic and episodic releases and the final choice of Lexis for "In Memoriam" about that :
Interviewer : "For the internet part, the game isn't on line but asks for an internet s connexion, do you think it s gonna add a new dimension to the way adventure games are being played nowadays ?"
Eric Vienot (In Memoriam s creator) : "Internet brings a new dimension : the game 's immersion into reality .
For instance, you can play on sunday and then coming back from work monday night and finding at home a mail from an unknown person who would put you on new tracks .
Most of people who did play the game has been surprised by this new way of playing and stunned by finding clues into real web sites .
Also they re finding difficult to distinguish what s real from what s fake .
This adds to the story and the characters a great credibility .
The inclusion of Internet made us being really serious about the documentaries .
It was important than the players didn t find informations who were totally opposited to each other" .
Well it s a really long and patient work for translating this interview, thanks for being patient and trust me it will be really rewarding to read :)

8-) Thanks, Leonard! That was informative. This game should raise a few heads.

I : "Could you tell me how different is "In Memoriam" in comparison with a game like "The Majestic" who did also use the web and did fail, mainly due to technical probs" ?
E.V : "Majestic did have a huge on line s dimension but the common points stop here .
People i know and who did play to (Majestic) has stopped it mainly for one good reason : they didn t understand the meaning of it and the fact they had to pay for playing it more was a huge problem .
With "In Memoriam" you just have to buy the game s cd for playing and finishing it .
"In Memoriam" uses a mixed concept who hasn t been used that much : you re playing on CD-ROM (with all the possibilities this medium offers : movies, music, deep interactivity) . And you go on the net for making some research and receiving e-mails .
The game asks for almost no download at all . No paying stuff to download, no need for a fast connection (only a 56 K modem is requiered)
The missions are clear : if you're losing on the web, some mails will bring you back on the right track !"

You re welcome :)
Here is something who should interest Intrepid because it s totally answering his first post about the game and why nobody was talking about it at all :
I : "I m really surprised none of the video games magazines did talk about "In Memoriam", no previews, no tests... Is this a choice from yourself or is there another reason to that ?"
E.V : "In Memoriam is not a common game . For instance, it s not builted around a 3 D engine .
Giving it too early to video games magazines for doing previews wouldn t have made some sense at all because such a special game can t be previewed at all .
So, we did choose, alongside Ubi Soft, to communicate only with the mainstream press .
"Liberation" (a french newspaper which is published each day) talked about the game in his "movies" pages (!) one year ago .
"LCI" (french cable station tv) revolved one of his "web magazine" around "In Memoriam" .
The communication with the video game s press has only started a few weeks ago and their reactions are really good .
It s a huge surprise for gamers' journalists who are fond of Adventure Games (and also those who aren't !) .
There s a lot of people who are addicted to the game and you re gonna hear about it really soon in a lot of magazines" .

If I think about it, it's true. A game of this kind cannot be previewed very easily... maybe getting mentioned in a magazine or a press release can work, but screenshots and other things may not do it justice or really work at all. (Similar to the game 'Uplink', which was all played from a simple mainframe interface, but had so much more to offer)
And thanks for translating!

It's a picture of a group of physicists at the Shelter Island Conference of 1947 - a famous gathering that included the likes of Richard Feynman (Nobel Prize laureate in Physics) and Julian Schwinger (another Nobel laureate) - it was quite a "think tank" to say the least.

if you use the three names in google you get to a site with antique books (see the link i posted in one of the previous replies) then use the hint you get 'istanbul'---> there's only one of the listed shops that's located in istanbul 'kasim sari' so search it on the internet and then read.
there you would get the answer on the question.

At irbca.com, the Istanbul book shop is...
Kasim Sari – Librairie Kilic – Istanbul
Art and ornamental calligraphy, antique books, collections

you'll have to get the corrisponding letters in the corner, you can do this by holding down other letters so you can push the wanted letter in the corner, maybe there is another (less complicated) way, but after a couple of times, it worked.
/*SPOILER*/
in phu you'll have to enter "giordano bruno", i can't remember how i got to this name...

So, look the names. The clues that you got. Search it on Google. You find a church name. Search the name again, but search in the pictures. You'll find lot of pictures, with the signs. All you have to do, to put them in the right place.

Hello folks, anyone found the name of the Arab of the photo ? I did extensive searches (more than 10 hours) on the net to find anything about the Picatrix book, Muhammed ... and other related things about Necronomicon but no good answer.
I've spent also many our try to combine the middle name letter to find something bound to this context but nothing.
Any answer ?

I'm sorry about only asking a question and not offering up any help, but if you all could help me that would be loverly.
I'm at the end of Epitech, the sun situation has been dealt with and I've constructed the two pictures and I even have the information that I need to solve the puzzle.
But, then why when I enter all of it in, nothing happens?
I've tried many different ways to enter it in and nothing...
Which also makes me wonder if I need to do certain things with the other contents in the box, other than the photos...
i'm being vague, so not to spoil things for others, but if you've completed it you should know what I'm speaking about..
Please help! From the bottom of my broken heart, I beg you.

I don't think I could possibly be more embarrassed right now.
I was going over everything in detail except the most obvious thing in the world.
Sigh.
Well, thanks a bunch. I'm a real tool.

don't worry, i had the same problem with this one. My guess is that a lot of people will or had cause it's not obvious, in the other puzzles it doesn't require a 'enter'. it's not consequent.

Has anyone found out the address in the Teuchmos puzzle?
In a video clip Jack and Karen walk along a certain street and the house number is also visible in the video, but that combination doesn't work.
I think I haven't found a detailed enough map of Prague. This is quite a good one, but it doesn't show all the smallest streets in that area:

RegardsThis was really straightforward for me.
In one of the other puzzle (Chthisar I think) you should see 5 symbols written in blood. You can decode these using the symbols in Giordano Bruno section at http://www.demagia.net/
Later you should see another clip of Jacks video whereby you get to see another set of 5 symbols. Again, decode them at http://www.demagia.net/. You may need to watch the vid a couple more times. You now have 2 words to Google which will take you to the right website and the rest of Mohammed's name.

Can someone provide me with a hint for this puzzle? I'm really stuck here. And the in-game hints given doesen't help much :(
the sunbeams are 'on' when the red lights are on. move the sun-shaped thing around the screen (click and hold the mouse button) and notice how the lights change when you closer to your target. there are also sounds when the lights light up. try to get all the lights 'on'.
when you find the correct place, let go of the mouse button. then the puzzle will appear...

I assume you have figured out the year from a site like this: http://www.italia-libero.com/ghidoni/in/index.html
The following combos would get the bugs to move the dials (either 8 or 9 notches it seems):-
Blue/yellow or yellow/blue for the first dial.
Blue/green or green/blue for another dial.
Green/yellow or yellow/green for the last dial.
I never used the red capsule. (instant death to bugs)
Don't bother feeding the bugs if there are dead bugs on screen.
Never feed the same coloured capsule twice in succession.
This puzzle had me stumped for a while because I did all the above once and the game didn't advance. I then tried it all again the following day because it had to be right and it worked 2nd time around. Maybe a bug! (pun intended)

I liked the game, funny (ranging from easy to quite difficult) puzzles, although they are a little repetative after a while; it's either 'do action - look in google - fill in' ; or quite a few times little innovative copys of little action games (like the 'golf' course) which is a bit lame in my view.
Still, the game is addicitve enough to keep playing it. The story behind the game seems like it's from a thriller/horror movie, it has all the ingredients - bad omens, psychopaths, killings and mysterious environments etc. which is nothing new in this genre but doesn't get boring. Graphically it's average, the resolution is 800x600 (!) and the video quality is that of an average home-camera, but maybe that is done on purpose, to save disk space and because of the limitations in flash player and system specs.
Overall the game and storline is good, but the product is build pretty cheap, macromedia flash player is used a 'engine', which is interesting but also bad, it's not really stable and not 'made' for these kind of games. if you know a little about Flash and actionscript, you can figure out that this game is not hard to make - technically. On my system, the game locks up a lot of times after completing a puzzle, which is very irritating since the puzzle has to be done again.
Compared to other big games (like Myst III) this game is pretty static and grahically not really special, no (pseudo) 3D or walking and exploring. It remembered me of some years ago when i played 'The 7th Guest' for the first time - loads of puzzles!
The new part - integration with internet and email - is done pretty good although i got some emails giving hints about puzzles i had completed 2 days before. The websites you have to visit during the game are done pretty good (all created in dreamweaver - sponsored by macromedia?) they look and feel pretty authentic. The emails you receive give a lot of background information on the story. Too bad replying to the emails does not do anything.
in conlusion, people who like to figure out things and make puzzles within a nice environment will be satisfied with this game. The puzzles are overall variated enough to keep you busy for hours and can get you pretty frustrated (but they should ofcourse!). There are bugs in the game which can be overcome; the game sometimes does not respond to the right solution, you'll get the idea that you are wrong. The problem is solved by restarting the game.
People who are keen on graphically rich environments and exploring in large worlds where you can interact with charaters (like monkey island etc.) better look somewhere else. The game is pretty linear and follows a set path. u cannot die (at least i didn't).

I am starting to hate the game... In my first game, it froze in the first screen... I couldn't play anymore and had to use an old Hotmail account....
I made to Terra and nearly beat it, but again the game went zany and I can't play anymore.... I am not going to play until the makers answer my mail....
I hope the US version is fixed....
BTW, I got some advertisement for the game in the mail from Ubisoft...
I also found a walkthrough... its good beacuse it gives hints before the answer....
To think I have to play that silly mini-golf game again.... and the drag the target one... :(
IMHO, it looks more like a 7th Guest/Google hybird than an adventure... Unless the 7th Guest is considered an adventure too... :P

I encountered the same problem during the course of the game. However, I was thrown back to windows in another puzzle (not Spuchu). I contacted the customer support for help. They suggested to install the newest drivers for all my hardware (which I had already done before). If I wanted a more detailed answer, I would have had to send them my dxdiag.txt (type "dxdiag" at Start->Execute, in the dxdiag window press "save all information").
Since I was still quite at the beginning, I figured it wouldn't be too much of a problem if I started over. So I replayed from scratch and everything worked smoothly that time.

Oddly enough, Ubisoft has responded VERY quickly I got several emails from them and now I know that if the game goes crazy and you can't play anymore, you can go to "manage e-mails" and delete your account, but if you delete the folder you have to contact them.....
Anyway near the end it was more action than adventure....

So, all you new members here who had just signed up to talk about this game:
How is it? Are you all having fun? Is it really difficult? Is the story any good? Please tell us, please tell me, 'cause I'm thinking of getting it once it's available in the States.
And welcome to the wacky world of Adventure Gamers! :P

I was talking about the little games after the 111 riddle. ;)
But no matter, I finished it. :P

If you click on the sun/laser in the middle it will stop for a few seconds (if you haven't noticed already). This will help a little.

As i said in my 'review' above, personally i think the game is too static and the story is just average, nothing really disturbing. A lot of the games are not original and are just graphically changed a bit to fit the environment. Some puzzles are challenging, where others are plain luck to pass.
one big issue still remains, why did they use Flash / director projector for this game? it is pretty buggy and instable a lot of times.
graphic: 7
video: 5
story: 7.5
music/sound: 6 (not much music, if there is any, it is repeating)
stability: 5
puzzle difficulty: 6 to 8

overall score: 4.5.... i like the entire game, but the sloppy ending ruines everything......very disappointing...
and yes, why on earth would they use all those macromedia-junk to make a game... THAT is the big puzzle of this game, maybe the clue of this game is resolving this puzzle :)....at least i would have been a better ending....
now seriously, does anyone know if they'll make a sequal of this game? or is there something about phoenix i didn't understand? because i would really expect you'd get the chance to catch phoenix....

I've streamed around the screen for ages.. held the letters on the sun.. just can't seem to get it..Just collect the letters in the right order ensuring nothing touches the trail of letters. Collecting the last letter 's' should complete the level.

Bah. This sucks. I've got all the way to the latter stages of Ignis, and what happens.... the game won't start anymore.
Erreur de script - Object not found 5004.
Anyone else had this happen? (uninstall/reinstall doesn't help).

Seaching for José Cortado (with the accent on the e) might be more successful.
Yee Lin, search on "cortado engraving" and the right site will come up at the top of the results.

QnQ, what the sound recorder does is change backward recordings to forward. So far that Vari puzzle is the only one that uses it. If you can't beat the first half of that puzzle, Marco Lerini sends you an email with the spoiler:

Listen carefully to the background sounds as you place the circles. The right placed circles will lead to a subtle change, helping you to locate the right position. I never would have matched it with the diagram from the webpage without it.

hey Vick
u gotta solve the puzzle 1st then only the Audio thingy is useful.
U gotta hear what "it" is saying and type the correct words
u'll receive an email regarding the words. After that, the Audio thingy will be useful.

Ugh, i read about this - a known bug. As far as I'm aware Ubisoft are making another patch to fix it, but I could be wrong.
Irritating for you when you're so far through the game :(
Don't know whether anyone could get a screenshot of what original skeleton pic is supposed to look like (or if there is one already online somewhere).
The bones make a little click when you get them in the correct position. Don't mess with the leftmost arm--it's already set. Do the right elbow and the knees first, then do the right hand and the feet, and then do the head.

Hi there,
somebody please help me with Pepisoth in the AIR-Part of the game. I'm really stuck at the point where I'm supposed to highlight six letters. I tried so many words, but none seemed to work. What on earth am I supposed to enter??
Also, I don't know how to continue in Phu - with the weird dragonfly. I know how to receive the letters, but I don't know the word to construct. However, Phoenix said, I'd find out when I solve Pepisoth. So please, help me on that darn Pepisoth riddle. It's driving me nuts. :frusty:
Thanks a lot!
Go to google, enter the word "nolain" (his nickname in the Phu), and then appers his "real" Name.

Have you been able to find what the solution is in the pepisoth with the six enlightened letters? I'm there and I'm stuck! :frusty:
please help me or tell me where can i find the answer?

In Pepisoth, I found the image of the sun (http://www.demagia.net/corne.html), and I drew it, but nothing happened... am I doing something wrong?
heeeeeellllpppp....
I also drew the image of the sun and .... nothing. The clues I've been given is to listen to the sounds when you place one in the correct position. Can't hear anything different. HAve you had any luck?

Everytime you put something in the right place you will hear and extra instrument play the background music...
So you just move them and pay attention to when the music changes... All I can say is have patience and listen VERY carefully!

Hi! I had the same problem that someone had. Playing PHU i had this message:
"Erreur de lecteur Director
cast member name expected
<void>
erreur de script. Continuer?"
The solution is (extracted from In Memoriam Web):
This sometimes happens in the levels SICHET and PHU. A patch will be available soon, for the time being here is a simple procedure to solve this problem.
Delete the file (file) in the directory Ubi Soft\IN Memoriam\Media\Dir\Save\USER1\
If you encounter a problem in Phu: [file] is s602_phu_02.sav
If you encounter a problem in Sichet: [file] is s805_sichet_02.sav
In the path, User1 is the first registered user
Go in User2 for the second registered user and so on
Just delete that files (it depends the level). Don´t worry, you will be where you were last time. It only resets the level (PHU or SICHET).
Bye!!! (and sorry for my English)
