Don't look at me that way! I'm not the first or last to come here asking for advice on which game to play next.... :shifty:
Here are the "candidates":
-Amerzone
-Road to India
-CSI
-Prisoner of Ice
-Blade Runner
-The Last Express
-Lighthouse
-UAKM
-Jack Orlando
-Half the Nancy Drew saga (5 to 9)
And lots of oldies like Eric the Unready, the Spellcasting series, Companions of Xanth, Death Gte, Shannara, Noctropolis, the Paulo Coelho games, nearly all the old Infocom games, some Magnetic Scrolls games and the Police Quest saga... Oh yeah and lots of old Cyro amd Microids games, Louvre, Atlantis I and III, Time Machine, Aztecs.... And a few more...
Sweet Mother of Mothra! That is one big list of unfinished games! I better get started, as soon I decide which one, if I ever do... :(
(If I ever complain again that I have nothing to play, you may fill my underpants with grues and cover with gravy.... and call me a "snarker flarker", whatever that is...)
Less reading, more suggesting! Or ice cream, whatever suits you best!

Blade Runner, Under a Killing Moon, or The Last Express.

I must echo Leonardi. Blade Runner, The Last Express, and Under a Killing Moon are all essential playing for adventure gamers - the rest can all wait. Have fun getting UAKM to run if you are on XP though. :P

Lots Cryo and Microids games? I wasn't aware there were many games made by Microids.
I don't believe there are a whole lot of them, at least not adventures.
But on the side note, if by 'lots' you also mean games like Syberia, Syberia2, then they should be together with the three mentioned by Leonardi and Christina.

Blade Runner!!! Extremely underrated, and you're guarenteed to love at least two things about the game.
P.S. note the extremely talented voice acting...

OK, maybe Microids doesn't have lots of games, but I have most of them... :shifty:
I already beat Syberia and the PC version of Syberia II isn't out in my country yet (I think)...
And my copy of Blade Runner is spanish , but my TLE is in english...

Well, the Last Express is one of my favorite games so be sure to get around to playing it sometime. Also, Blade Runner is another fav of mine, but of course I'm a MASSIVE fan of the movie. Both are excellent games with very high production values, so I think you'll enjoy either pick. But I do think that the Last Express is the superior game of the two so you might want to play it first :)
I haven't played any of the other games in your collection besides Police Quest (which are excellent--the 3rd and 4th are my favorites) so I can't really suggest anything more.

Yeah, i know Kingz, just kidding, but to more serious things...
I think one of the forum administrators should make forum rules a 'sticky' for all newcomers. Not that anyone actually reads them, but at least we can say: Hey, there are forum rules right in front of your nose, go read them

The Last Express, Under a Killing Moon and Blade Runner are definately the first 3 you should play; I agree with all those who've suggested them. Personally I'd start with TLE; it's definately one of the best Ags ever made. All three are absolute classics though; but I think TLE is the best - It's completely unqiue, with high design values, a great plot and characters and original gameplay.
The Police Quest games are also worthy of your gaming time; and I'd say Prisoner of Ice is also worth a play.
I haven't played many of the others though. Only Jack Orlando - thats quite a mediocre game; play it eventually but don't make it a priority I'd say.

Well you're lucky, because they are all GREAT games, except for Prisoner of Ice I didn't really care for. I haven't yet played Lighthouse or Jack Orlando (oddly I have both, but couldn't get the former to run and just bought Lighthouse a couple of days ago).
If I made a list of best to not so best:
Blade Runner (one of my top 3! great game.)
Last Express (most immersive game i've ever played)
UAKM (have you played tex before? they take a bit to get used to)
Nancy Drew saga (especially most current, Deception Island)
CSI (despite naysayers, I really enjoyed, and I don't like the show)
Amerzone (pretty, but far too short)
Road to India (surprsingly good!)

Lighthouse is hard and long- the type you rearly find nowadays. But thats the matter of taste, of course. RTI and Amerzone, on the other hand are short and quite easy. So it depends on wheach do u prefere.

well i would give you this advice.
If you haven't bought road to india or CSI yet then don't.
Road to india was finished in very minimal time without much effort.
CSI- Was not worth the 30.00 bucks we spent on it, if you can get it for 15 then go ahead but I wouldn't spend 30 again

Hey guybrush_guy, I've noticed you keep talking about how bad you are at spelling. Well here is a great solution http://www.iespell.com/ Check it out.. it's a free plug-in that everyone should use. Just install it and then you can right click in the text box and go to "check spelling." It's great.

You're not. Although I think the game leaked with atmosphere (and for that reason I'll suggest playing it if one already did buy a copy anyway), I think it didn't work out in terms of adventure-gameplay.
As for my own recommendation, one of the most overlooked AGs in history are Legend Entertainment's and you mentioned a few on your list, Tanukitsune, so I urge you to give them a try. You may fall in love with them, believe me.

I already beat TLE...
[SPOILER]Poor Tatiana, she was my favourite...[SPOILER]
And I already started Blade Runner, but I think the next game I will play after this one will be a Legend one, maybe Eric the Unready or a Spellcasting one, hmm, is Companions Of Xanth humoruos? I think I will play a funny game after Blade Runner.... :D

You should replay TLE to get even more of the unqiue experience. There are lots of elements of the plot you won't uncover in one play through; and so you won't get a full understanding of whats going on. Plus it's cool to see something happening you missed first time around.

I loved Amerzone but nothing compares to Lighthouse. If you can get it to play, what a classic! Someday I must play again... you wouldn't believe how many endings there can be... they have their own forum.
Happy Days!!

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys...(and girls)
I think I should "update" this, I've already beaten a few of the games I mentioned before....
I have beaten TLE, I got several endings in Blade Runner and I just finished Eric the Unready! 8-)
Eric was very funny, I love parser games were I can be a nuisance!
I gave half the kingdom my "vertical smile"....
It was full of parodies like a FOUR headed monkey, and you get eaten by a GNU in a certain white house.... :P
Did I mention I just got CSI: Dark Intentions?
