I have some breaking news!

On LarryLives.com (http://www.larrylives.com) we have a brand new quote from an employee of Comztek/Microcom (African distributor of Vivendi Universal game titles):
"this title is currently pegged for release in Quarter 3 2004".

Although it's not yet confirmed by Sierra/Vivendi, I would say that by now it's almost 100% sure that a new Larry game will in fact be released soon.

Never really had any relationship with the Larry games, (allthough number seven was pretty fun,) but in our situation No News Are Bad News.

Now that we know when it's coming out, it'd be nice to even find out if it's an adventure. We know nothing about this game so far.

No Al Lowe, so my personal interest in this matter is something like 0,5%

Vivendi is bad firm. I don't like them and the strategies they've used during these years of reigning the remains of Sierra.

Yeah, even though I'd like to be positive about this, I think you're right. I got a bad feeling this is going to turn into some kind of bad XTreme Volleyball clone or something.... I'll pass judgment when (and if) Sierra announces it.

I never thought Larry was all that incredible in the first place, but if they are going to go through with this game, I hope Sierra can assemble a team that at least lives up to what Lowe did. Obviously a huge number of people really appreciated his humour, so for the sake of the fans they better not screw it up.

XTreme Volleyball clone? But Larry can't even play volleyball! And imagine Larry with his leisure suit playing volley? And Larry is definetly not a man of action...
I think its nearly impossible that the new Larry game will not be an adventure...
Larry can't fight, can't play sports, he can't even jump n' run....http://smilies.networkessence.net/s/kao/cactus/tira.gif
Yes, I know it won't be the same without Al Lowe, but what can we do?
I don't think that online petition will help

I'm sure Larry can run, jump and duck. He might even be able to hold a gun! (to kill a perfectly good series, you know)

And hey, if he can hold a gun then what's stopping him from holding a tennis racket?

eh, i'll believe it when i see it.

it's an exciting thought, but i don't really consider a quote from a distributor to be confirmation. let's see what (if anything) sierra has to say...
