What happened to to the company Adventure Soft, home of such greats as Simon Woodroffe? They produced the great Simon the Sorcerer series(some may not include the third in that description) and The Feeble Files. I might me missing something but I never heard a press release about the company going bankrupt or disbanding. They have a fully functioning website from which you can still buy their old games. Does anyone know if they have a game in production or am I just missing something?
I think they're developing games as Headfirst Productions (http://www.headfirst.co.uk/), the name that Simon 2 and Simon 3D were also developed under. AdventureSoft is just the publisher of their old adventure games (although they're still the same guys), or something.

That Call of Cthulhu is looking pretty darned good, but I'd really like to see a new Simon game come out some day, a proper adventure like the first two were. Lets face it though, it doesn't seem to likely in this day and age.

Yes, they are Headfirst Production now. And they are also developing now Call of Ctulhu.
The company changed its name several times during its life: before AdventureSoft, the company was called HorrorSoft and produced games like Personal Nightmare, 2 Elvira games and Waxworks. And even before that they produced a lot of adventures for some systems like Spectrum, like Isaac Asimovs Keilith under some other name.

And in my opinion, their games under "Horrorsoft" were much more fun :)

Adventuresoft! They used to make good games!
I can't say I liked anything Headfist produced so far.
