I'm sure I would, but unfortunately I live like a zillion miles away.
I doubt anyone will protest at E3. It's a trade show and only media and companies are allowed to enter. I doubt anyone would want to risk never being allowed at E3 again just because of LucasArts. :) Also LucasArts booth is behind closed doors. :)
I'll be at E3 but I don't think I'll be protesting.
Incidentally how do people plan on getting into E3 to protest outside their booth? Not only is E3 a for-press-only event, but LucasArts hasn't even got a booth out on the main show floor. Their "booth" is always just a very decorated large meeting room in a side hallway, so from the outside there's just a door in a hallway with a little sign on the outside that says "LucasArts."
That said, I hope people somehow manage to pull this off though, as it would be a pretty brilliant infiltration of E3 and would surely get some press attention, E3 being a press event and all that.
:shifty: thanks serialfreak for beating me to it

I'm attempting to get in as media, but doubt that'll happen. Adeventure Gamers staff qualify, though, right? Maybe I should try to be a contributor....
:shifty: thanks serialfreak for beating me to itNo problem. :)
Moron Lite: You don't want to give Adventure Gamers a bad name though. People should probably just ignore the LucasArts booth full stop. :)

You'd get arrested if you mauled the LucasArts booth people. :)

It's not possible to just 'buy' a press pass, is it?
I think you've got to prove that you're a member of the press. :)

Oh I'm not trying to get in to protest. :) Who knows, I may actually be at E3 working for LucasArts, if all goes as planned.
Don't worry, I'll get the blueprints so we can conduct a raid on the offices....
I was suppose to say you don't want to give Adventure Gamers a bad name. :)

i think so, you can buy the equivlent to a press pass,
If that's the case then why isn't the E3 floor swamped with video game fans who aren't press. :)

Too bad that picketline protest never happend, i think that would have been first time in gaming history people actually protested outside a building, because some game got canceled.

How'd you manage that, eriq? There's no chance me and another SFer could hitch a ride on your eligibility, is there? :)

If this was reply to my post, then... it doesn't matter how it would have looked like, it would still be something that has never been done before. :D

I'm going with XY magazine. I went three years ago as press to E3 and I just had to send them a business card and proof of publication. My old boss sent it all in for me. I've always been in the masthead of each magazine even though I'm only helping with web stuff but whatever works! I'm going!
You know, you CAN purchase tickets at E3 if you're not press. I'm absolutely positive. I remember people buying general floor passes.
And I'm flying to LA. If you'd like to hang out there, I'm game.

i was just thinking there'd be a lot of press type people who are pissed off about the sam & max 2 cancellation.. hopefully they atleast voice their disappointment.. some people who are going said they were gonna dress up as sam & max..now that would be funny!!! man havent we got more gaming industry people around here???
what kind of proof is need'd to get a pass?
If you're industry, you can present:
resale tax certificate, company credit card, insurance card, business ads with business cards, business license, commercial lease, paycheck stub, and W-2 forms.
For media, you need to include one copy of the publication and/or a related industry article, business cards, masthead, etc.
You can probably find all the media information on the E3 site. I got this from my booklet.

If there's not going to be the protest, anyone who goes should still make and wear the shirts that says "max lives"
