I'm thinking of playing Loom but I'm not sure which version to get.

Wikipedia tells me that the CD-ROM version lacks some of the dialogue and alternate solutions that were in the floppy version. So my questions is:

Is the Steam version based on the floppy or CD release?

And is the TG16 CD uncut or is it basically the same as PC-CD?

I'm not sure which version Steam has, but the floppy version was EGA and no speech. The CD was VGA with speech and CD audio music.

Steam has the CD/VGA version.

Seems like I might as well go for the Steam version as it's dirt cheap and has speech.

Would be great if they can make a special edition one day incorporating the best bits of CD and floppy.

Wow, I didn't even know the Steam version was the CD one. Very interesting.
