... I have something that may appease the feller. It is not really screenshots of the game, rather, the main character, Langhorne, in his toon-shaded glory.
Some constructive criticism?

I have a frontal picture, but the limit per file, apparently, is 39.1 kb, and mine is 40.2kb... I guess you just have to lose out.
He looks old. I don't like old characters.

I'm not crazy about the black outline, but I have a feeling that depending on what kind of style your backgrounds are it'll look fine in-game. Other than that, my only real criticism is that, presumably due to the cell-shading, some bits look a bit indistinct (the shoes and bottom of the pants).
He looks great, though. Good work.

i agree with remixor, the way the pants collor blends into the shoe's is kinda ockward. is that soposed to be a shadow on the pants and it works it way down to the shoes?
but other then that, i think it look great

but other then that, i think it look greatIt's mud. Hell and high water happen to this fellow before you take control over him in the game.
that character is kind of ockward looking.
just kidding! He's EXCELLENT! OOH! Show us more! That looks really really good. Do you have him animated already? wow.
I like the cartoon flavour going on.
it's not ockward at all! just an awkward character.

I kidded. I love it! Like Remixor mentioned, I think the black outline seems somewhat misplaced with this kind of 3-Dish character...sorta. Because when I think black outline, I think Flintstones. :P
But this is, after all, our first experience with the game, and I'm sure you've got stuff under control. Besides, black outlines never killed anyone.
Good luck! :)
You know instead of attaching images to posts you can FTP them to your webspace of choice and use the [ img ]url://to image here[ /img ] tags but without the spaces obviously.

Seems to me that black outlines are an attribute of most cel-shaded characters - that I've seen anyway. Play Dark Cloud 2. :)
I think the black outline is fine actually. Like someone pointed out, the backgrounds will determine how good that effect works. The characters in my game are all outlined as well but in their respective colors depending on the body part (dark blue around eyes, dark brown around pants, etc.).

Good lord! Until I got to the last few posts, I didn't even realize this was 3-D! Amazing stuff, kingz.
OMG, this is, like, the suckiest character that ever sucked.
:D
Nah, its actually very good. While i'm not too crazy about toon-shading (i always thought such rendering takes a bit away from organic characters, but works great with mechanical objects&characters (Iron Giant for example)), it does show good modeling (hands and braces are especially pleasant) and it will probably work much better on 2d backgrounds.
It's hard to comment charactrer himself though- because of the pose.

Maybe you could add a bit of variation in the mud texture, like have different splashes of mud, especially around the shoes.
... otherwise looking very good.

Questions.
1. Why was I not made aware you could do this?
2. Is it too late to kiss up to you?
3. What program did you use?
4. Where can I illegally obtain this program?
5. Do you like cheese?

1. You never asked.
2. You've been kissing up to me from the moment I've met you.
3. 3D MAX
4. From any thirld world country in your neighborhood.
5. Indeed.

3. 3D MAX
I've been using 3D Max too, and LightWave 3D. What really bothers me about both their outline feature is that you have not much control about which lines you want to 'outline' and which lines not.
I noticed that not all the lines on your 3D model are outlined, so I suppose you're having the same problem?

1. I shouldn't have had to. If I could do that stuff, the opening line in every conversation I ever have would be, 'Hi, I can do stuff in 3Ds Max!
2. When is 'I hate you' kissing up?
3. Oh.
4. That's not good enough. It's not illegal enough.
5. Me too.

--ErwinI actually spent a few days just tweaking the outlines and antialiasing to make the outline just where I wanted it to be.

Nice! I'm not a big fan of toon shading, but it still looks awesome.
