I never saw the movie but I decided to try out the game. The copy I bought first did not install correctly out of the box, had to call the company since their web page didn't have the answer. Then as I am just starting the 2nd part of the game, when I enter the lower part of this church the game camera moves up to the top of their map-like environment where you can see the scenery is just a large backdrop picture. It's when I try to sneak is when it happens which you have to do for the game and this bug locks it up for good. Anyway, I've seen no patches that fix anything about the game so has anyone gotten this game to work or even played it on PC? The amount of sounds and story is quite nice but really if the big secret at the end is Jesus boinks a peasant girl I'd be disappointed...

Sigh, dang. This is one of the first things I installed on a new XP install on a new computer. I figured there was no reason it should have problems. But every single time I try it happens. I haven't seen any patches that claim to fix it either or any patches at all really. I guess they made the game mainly for console because there is next to no tech support for PC...

I had no problems running it either. Sounds like a proper bug so haven't got a clue on how you can fix it. :frown:

Well I just tried it again and after 5 months it seems to have fixed itself. I guess it could always have been some stupid thing with my video card drivers which I update when they come out with newer ones because my 8800 GTS needs all the help in the world to work properly...

Edit- Apparently the bottom part of the church was the problem. The bug still happened a few times but I was able to get past the dumb monks without sneak at least once so I bypassed it. Also down in the basement whenever I dropped a pick-up item it disappeared. I hope that was the most buggy part of the game, with all this struggle fighting crap I don't need to worry about the game engine crashing down around me too.

Edit- Ah, the lameness of the Da Vinci code. So the whole point of the movie was to protrait Christianity as a sexist religion as well as all the other demonification hippies create to denounce it. If I had known that I wouldn't have bought the game. Guess they got my money anyway, oh well.
