Can't move mouse in BS3

I can't move the mouse in BS3... I had another problem ealier, but I fixed it by doing this: Please go into your "Display Settings" and change the refresh rate on your monitor to 60 Hrz. To change this, please follow the steps listed below:
(i) Click on Start then Run. When the RUN dialog box appears, type in "dxdiag" (without the quotes).
(ii) When the Direct X Diagnostic tool appears, click on the Tab which reads "More Help" (far right).
(iii) Click the "Override" button and change the value to "60"
(iv) Click on the “Sound” tab.
(v) Move the slider for the sound hardware acceleration to the left until it reads “NO ACCELERATION” and close the Direct X Diagnostic tool afterwards.

Also change the resolution of your desktop to 800 x 600 and the color to 16-bit. Please then start the game and within the game you can change the resolution etc. to your preferred view. Once you have exited the game you can change your monitor settings back to what your default was.

But now I can't move the mouse!! After I have seen the intromovie(and the crash) I can't move the curser around, but I can press Esc and exit!!

Good Gawd! You sound desperate. The game itself uses only the keyboard, no mouse. But are you saying that the mouse won't function in the game's menu screen, or on your desktop? If it's the latter you might want to reinstall the game and adjust the functions in the options menu before going into the game proper. Also write them an email and explain what happened. They're relatively good with responding back.

More than a few people, including me, had problems with this game initially. Mine had to do with game crashing because of screen resolution; I fixed it by adjusting the game's res to be different from my desktop res, weird but it worked.
