Syberia- So slow!!!

I just loaded Syberia onto my computer(Vista). It is so slow!!! When Kate gets into a conversation it takes like 5 sec. for a response and her walking is so slow too.

Is there any way to fix this???
Please answer, I am sooooooooo desperate!!!

I had to same problems too first time I tried this game. I think maybe I updated my directx or something. But to tbh I don't remember.. I updated something atleast :S

I tried the patch and I couldn't get all the way. It said something about access denied b/c of something else. I don't know what it is and I don't know what to do. So I need a little more help, thanks!!!!

I know when I had the same problem that the game was soooo slow, the first patch took care of it properly. I don't know what more to do.
I tried to google "Syberia patch" and I got a bunch of different results. There seems to be more than one patch to choose from. Try it and hopefully you'll find what you need. Sorry I can't be of more help.
