Yes, it got pushed back to 8 November, for some reason.

I see that Germany and France are getting a Collector's Edition, do you know what is in it?

A booklet with actual predictions from Nostradamus. How exciting. :shifty:

Well, now I've got it. I'm almost at the end of day 2 (out of 6?), and, for the moment, having lots of fun. The gameplay is very varied, ranging from drawing astrological charts to searching crime scenes, and the mystery is even somewhat interesting. So I'm happy with it. :)
(oh, and: French and German demos (http://www.clubic.com/demo-jeux-video-8619-0-nostradamus-la-derniere-prophetie.html); no English one yet, it seems)

It looks like the English version can now be downloaded from Kheops' web shop (http://www.kheopsstudio.fr/site/shop.php). Buy it now, it's a nice little game! It even has a rather good murder mystery plot! (which left me completely confused at the end of the game)
No, this post was not paid for by Kheops Studio. ;)

For those that have played it, how does it compare to Cleopatra? I enjoyed Cleopatra but wasn't really that engrossed in the plot or the puzzles.
I'm still strongly considering buying it!

Well, it was designed by Totm, so it's certainly closer to The Secrets of Da Vinci than to Cleopatra. It's a short game, but there's a decent amount of plot (a lot more than there usually is Kheops games), with a strong structure and events happening on a regular basis (the game is divided into 5 days, and different things happen each day; murders, for instance). The downside, obviously, is that the game is completely linear. The story itself (a mixture of murder mystery and esoteric treasure hunt) is not terribly original, but it works well and can create a tense atmosphere as the murders start piling up.
On the puzzle front, the game is geared toward logic puzzles rather than inventory puzzles (with some extra stuff such as making potions and searching crime scenes). Once again, there's nothing completely new there, but the rather original premises (making an astrological prediction, deciphering runes, etc.) can make you forget that you've already met most (all?) of the core mechanics a few times in your gamer's life. Oh, and the Totm folks still seem intent on punishing the player during the final puzzle; Nostradamus's (timed and rather unfair) end sequence makes the slider/painting sequences that concluded Echo and The Secrets of Da Vinci feel like walks in the park. The rest of the time, the puzzles are nice and not too hard (but still somewhat challenging).
Anyway, I had a lot of fun with it, I don't regret playing it, and it's definitely one of my favourite Kheops games.
Hm, I think this will be next on my buy list then. :)
