My counting-down-the-days attitude is totally unjustified since I have no Xbox or suitable PC, but what the hell, eh? Awesome news!
Although I'll be getting the PC version its pretty good news to see that the game is almost complete. Lets just hope that Sony doesn't reject it! :) I can't wait until the PC version goes gold. :)

Wonderful!
I'm gonna get the PS2-version, hopefully the graphics won't differ that much from the Xbox or PC-version. No matter, it's gonna be all good. I can't wait! :9~ :9

So far as I know, both BS games have been released on Sony's PS1 - so there's no reason not to expect the new installment on PS2.

Expect BS3 Reviews in the next few days, as Edge said that the next issue will be reviewed and the next issue is out on the 30th.
Also other mags have said they are reviewing it in their next issues.
Hopefully the game shud get high praise, it's so vital in many ways, for rev's sake & the whole genre.

AG is getting some early code but we're probably not going to review BS3 until the final boxed version has arrived.

Does that mean there will be an updated preview before the games official release for us to salivate over? :)

No, it means he's going to release a link to the beta code on the forums. ;)
Heres the THQ box in English:

Also the Australian Online Store Games Market (http://www.gamesmarket.com.au/) says that the X-Box and PS2 version of Broken Sword will be released on October 3rd. (For some reason it doesn't say when the PC version will be released and the price is higher then the PS2 version although not the X-Box version... hopefully they just made a mistake. :))

I'm a bit confused. BS3 has been picked up by THQ and The Adventure Company, right?
So where is THQ releasing, and where is TAC releasing?

THQ is releasing the game in Europe and TAC in in the US.

Another thing. I'm a bit confused? When is the game supposed to be released? Cause, the official site still says PS2, Xbox, PC - 10/10.
But, it's not, is it? I've heard different, anyway? Straighten it out, please. ;)

I think THQ are also responsible for Australia and New Zealand.

Ok the foreign langaue versions (German, French etc.) will be released on 10/10 or around that date. The english version will be released in november.
The reason is (from Revs forum) that THQ needs to keep a good reationship with software outlets on mainland europe, and to do that it has to make sure the french/german/etc sales won't be harmed initially by people importing the english release. A bit of a pain but understandable I suppose (though why they can't just bung it on a dvd and include english and german/french escapes me; or just release both together in the same shops? Ironically probably not enough demand for the english version  )

Ah, alright, thanks.
Though, I'm a bit disappointed and think it's kinda stupid. Do we have to wait a whole month extra, just because we speak english? Gah. :(

ugh its always the case that in the UK we have to wait ages for Japanese games (Final Fantasy took 16 years!) and for american games (Frequency, Amplitude and Mark Of Kri each took over a year) and still get the ones that are actually made here last *sigh*

16 years??

16 years??
Well. The first six games were never originally released in Europe. So, the first FF was released 1987 in Japan, 1990 in the US, but never in Eu.
But. Because of the success of the previous Final Fantasies released in Europe (7 through 10, FF Anthology etc.), they decided to release the original game here as well, in a bundle with FF2. Seen that way, it took 16 years, but I think it's a ridiculous comparison. ;)
The first FF to be originally released over here was FFVII, and we had to wait 10-11 months for that one.

We had to wait for 14years before the announcement Dr Who will return (hehe I had to fit it in somewhere... :7 And I don't care what anyone thinks about it, it's a brilliant prog :P)
