View Full Version : Monkey Island: The Movie... this is not
... But it is a movie about Monkey Island! And, wow... Fanboy of the year award goes to these guys big time!

I saw it on the Scumm Bar a few days ago but forgot about it until just now. Its so scary, but is also kinda good... I think? Eep.

This movie is great!!!!! I agree though about it being scary too. Maybe they should make an interactive version where the viewer can chose the words. :)

Could someone tell me what program runs an mp4 file? I tried Realplayer and Windows Media, neither work.
Thanks!
I think Quicktime 6.anything and WMP Extremely New.anything should play the video correctly....
um. whoa. I just watched it.
how... interesting.
It's been fun the whole time :D

Interesting. I could have done without the gun blasting the guys away at the end though. Not because I'm anti-violence or some such--I just don't think it's all that original.

What in Offler's name was that?
Sweet Mother of Mothra! I didn't know us fanboys had our own "theme song"?

Wow... I really don't know how to react to that clip.
The acting wasn't terrible, although the audio on the looping music clip was a bit too loud, making it hard to hear the vocals.
I agree with Zarathustrian that the ending was a bit weak... Still, the song manages to describe some friends of mine pretty well (and me to a certain extent, although I'm not that obsessed anymore... really?!?).

that's the word I was looking for. Bizarre. Definetely. It was... bizarre. BEYOND BIZARRE. <--- have you seen that show on tv with the host that says "BEEEYOOOND BIZAARRRRRE" in a really creepy alfred hitchcock-like voice? ;)

Hahaha, awesome. I agree about the ending, but the concept of the video as a whole is hilarious.

Hehe, that was funny. The first few seconds I wondered what this had to do with MI, and then they started singing and 'dancing'.
Hilarious.

Bizarre to say the least...
I thought the straight man was really good. I bet these guys are going to regret doing this in the future though...if they didn't already regret it the morning after.

Judging by the comment they left in the news post (http://www.scummbar.com/index.php?newssniffer=readcomment&news=558) I'll venture to guess that they don't regret it. ;

UT address... I hope they are at Austin... Or anywhere else for that matter except here. I would rather not be associated with geeks of that magnitude. I am hardly associated with my closest friends. Any evidence you may have to the contrary is libel... Dear god, what a bunch of boobs... The middle guy with that apt dorky do should've been shot... er... I mean, he should've been shot first. It is painful how horrible he acts. I could've done better, but then again, people think I am an actor so I guess I am a tad too theatrical in real life to pull off any sort of pretending to be at ease naturally... Damn, I should've thought of this first. But then again, I don't tolerate anime and I don't play video games.
