Hi

Anyone know where I can get these? I can't seem to find them when installing the games. Can't find them on CD. Can't find them in my usual source for game soundtracks.

I'm really into background ambience music at the mo so these would be great for when at work.

Anyone?

For Still Life, the music is found somewhere either on the CD or in the folder you installed the game on as .ogg files. Unfortunately, the quality of those tracks is pretty bad.

Here are the names of the music files from Still Life:
mus_BadFeeling.ogg
mus_Chicago1.ogg
mus_Chicago2_p1.ogg
mus_Chicago2_p2.ogg
mus_Credits.ogg
mus_Intro.ogg
mus_MainMenu.ogg
mus_Prague1.ogg
mus_Prague2.ogg
mus_Unsettling.ogg

For Post Mortem, I'd also love to know how to get the music. It's really good.

Thanks. I'll have to reinstall Still Life again just now.

As for Post Mortem, no game for a very long while has engrossed me as much. The plot just gets better and better as I progress through.

He can't because they are copywrited. End of story.

It's unneeded if we own Still Life and can do it ourselves. Or was it about Post Mortem? That I want a way to get.

Maybe they're also somewhere on the CD's...

/me checks the Post Mortem CDs.

No, I can't find any audio files. I guess they're somewhere in the .cab files on CD 1 but I don't know how to extract those.

Hi everyone.
For the Post Mortem soundtrack,
just do a full install.
Then look in the Sounds subdirectory.
All the sound files including the various
music and ambient tracks are in there.
Have fun.

I'll have to reinstall this game somehow. I wandered of this game close to the end due to other games and not being able to clearly find stuff. The music is still terrific as ever.

I know that beauty is in the Ear of the beholder, But I'm sorry to say that being a musician I didn't find the music in post mortem that good. The tracks lacked a certain mood needed for the somewhat sinister moments. They where a bit to cheerful, exept for one...I can't remember in what scene it was used. I replaced the music in the game with tracks from Soule's Morrowind. If I had the time I would have created the music myself and even put it on the net as a Mod for the game. For those who like the music, you can find them in the sounds/music map of the installed gamefiles.

I found Morrowind's OST quite contrived. Some uninspired orchestral soundtrack that seems to plague just about every Western RPG. Then again, when it's up against Myst III and Shadow of the Colossus it isn't going to stand much of a chance even if it was good.

I don't agree completely. Although jeremy is a good composer, I can't help but feel his work sounds familiar. Maybe he hasn't discovered his own sound yet. But he grew over the past years. Still...morrowind has some tracks that are really worthwile and his compositions are well written. Calm and soothing, with a adventurous feel to it.... And indeed, shadow of the colossus. That's beautiful. I agree.
