Game Identify

Hi, I played a downloadable game awhile ago but i have forgotten its name and would like to play. If I remember correctly, it was fairly popular and had graphics a little more advanced than some of the middle Lucas Arts games. At the beginning you are a character in your room, hear a storm, and when you finally get your door open you are on another planet. The game revolved you running around this building solving fairly hard puzzles. One of the puzzles I remember is taking two letters from a blinking neon sign and using those letters to trick a machine. It would be great if anyone could tell me what this game is. Thanks

It's an underground game from 2003 called Out of Order.
I actually didn't like it that much when I played it a while back, but it has some pretty funny moments.

I played that one too. It was quite illogical and the end was rushed. Pity because it started out very promising.

I remember starting it once, getting confused, then restarting it quite a while after that and loving it. I was sucked in by the story and wanting to figure out exactly why he was there. I don't remember feeling like the ending was rushed just that it was so unexpected.

It was a game that was going to be commercial but Tim Furnish ended up making it free.
