Man, good times had playing that game back in the day on the Amiga... until one of the discs broke halfway through the game. :(

Never could get quite into this game, but it had potential.
I still have my A1200 in the closet... I really should get that up and running again... although it's in a somewhat weird state - I took it apart, installed some weird VGA card add-on (hey, at least I could play Quake at a reasonable speed), and a bunch of other things. It looks like a PC.
Perhaps we should have an Amiga appreciation thread in General.

Yes, potential, a lot. But this game has maybe the best example of bottle-neck playability that is so harmful in many adventures: new actions are triggered by others that are completely unrelated - and of course completely lacking of clues. This makes the game often an absurd feast of clicking, "looking at" the same objects over and over again, talking to the same people over and over to see if there is a new dialogue tree option - very similar to what happens with lots of hentai games - and, after all, a kind of game that becomes tiresome and looses its plot completely. Though, technically, is fascinating.
D.C - are you from geelong? i know a DC from geelong, sometimes also known as ACDC.
jacog we definetly should have an AMIGA appreciation thread... i've really been getting into mine over the last few months. Mainly bought it for lemmings and we've almost clocked that but also started collecting old adventures on it like fate of atlantis, monkey island 1 and 2 and been trying to win some others too. Dynablaster ended up being "the" best game because you can play 5 players AT ONCE! yes at once and we have infinite laughs with it!
Risingson, i hope this game aint too bad cause we're still waiting for it in the mail but once it arrives we're gonna install and start playing. Should deal away with any "disk breaking" problems once its installed.
Geelong? Nope. (Although strangely enough I was born in Geelong.) I'm from Brisbane myself. I'm all up for an Amiga appreciation thread! The first adventures I played were on Amiga. (The Colonal's Bequest, Operation: Stealth, Cruise For A Corpse, etc.) I just loved the setting of this game. The crazy soundtrack is still engrained in my head too. :D
First adventure game i ever discovered was on AMIGA too and it was Maniac mansion. Never did get to finish it... then i played Monkey island 1 on AMIGA and my adventure game addiction was complete. Following that close behind was Loom and then Monkey Island 2. Indy and last crusade followed this and then Zak McKracken. Last but not least i finally played Space Quest IV on AMIGA before finally leaving home and bought a PC.... things had changed.. Commodore had gone bust in australia....
anyway... do you wanna start the thread or shall i oh Brisvegas dwellor?

It isn't too bad, but tiresome. Just have a walkthrough near you.
ok.. might have to get a walkthru sorted out just incase we get totally totally stuck then.. im guessing its one of those games where when you get stuck you just do as many random things as you can and then go re-check everything else to see if anythings changed......
