I have the Sold Out version of Broken Sword 2, anytime I try to install it by using the Setup95 program, it runs the program, asks if I want to install Acrobat (I say no), then it tells me the destination the program has been installed in, but no joy. The game just refuses to install, no error messages nothing.

Hmmm ... have you tried to intstall in Window 95 compatibility mode? Worked for me when I wanted to install Gabriel Knight 1.

Right click on setup95 and chose proprtird. Click on the compatibility tab, set it to Windows 95 and apply. If it doesn't work then you've can just set it back the way it was. Couldn't hurt.

PS. I had no idea ScummVm could run Broken Sword. YAY!

Tried all versions of compatibility and it didn't work, I think the main problem is the crappy Sold Out rerelease causes more problems than it should.

To be honest,I'm not quite sure how to work this ScummVM. Do I have to copy all the files from the CD or what?

Basically yes, with a few caveats.

You'll need to copy

*.clu
*.inf
*.tab
credits.bmpAnd

Copy+rename music.clu on CD1 to music1.clu
Copy+rename music.clu on CD2 to music2.clu
Copy+rename speech.clu on CD1 to speech1.clu
Copy+rename speech.clu on CD2 to speech2.cluYou'll also need the BS2 Cutscene Pack (http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scummvm/Sword2_Cutscenes.zip?download).

I don't know whether you need to keep the same directory structure has on the CD, having never used BS2 with ScummVM.

This might seem a bit of a daft question, but do I copy the music.clu files to my HDD and rename them, or rename the ones on the the CD's?

Copy from CD1, rename. Copy from CD2, rename. :)
