Little feedback survey. Most of it focuses on what licenses you like, and what you'd like to see a game of.
I'm casting a vote for Tex Murphy.

But with Chris Jones, I hope!

Thanks for the link. I put down Manhunter (the old Sierra series), Dr. Seuss, and some other stuff.
I wouldn't mind seeing Tex Murphy, but I've only played the first two games in the series, so I would have some catching up to do.
I posted Matt Wagner's Grendal. I'm not sure if it would be something that Telltale would think about doing but it is one of those things that just should be done.
What are the chances Telltale could get the rights to these old series. I mean things were a little different for Sam & Max because LucasArts contract expired, right? Either way I voted for Full Throttle or Space Quest as well as original IP. :D

I bet I'm the only one that has Antiques Road Show as my top TV series :D .
Other than that, I put in a good word for a new Gabriel Knight or Tex game.

Full Throttle, if possible.
Some of Lucas Arts games were based on excellent stories with a nice ending, thus they do not scream for a sequel (Grim Fandango, The Dig). Some had not so interesting characters (Maniac Mansion, Zak McKracken). Some had enough sequels already (Indiana Jones, Monkey Island).
Among the Lucas Arts games, I think, next to Sam & Max, that the game with the most potential for another story is Full Throttle. It have excellent characters and a nice world that fits more stories.
Plus Full Throttle's story was fairly short too - a proven story structure that works well for this game that would adapt well to an episodic series.

Whatever the franchise they pick up, I just hope it doesn't reuse locations to the same extent as Sam & Max.

I voted for Monkey Island.
They still have that 5 game contract the Voodoo Lady has to fulfill right? ;)

An adventure game based on the next Indiana Jones movie. :)
Telltale could make a deal with Lucasfilm, who owns the rights to the franchise.

I put down ideas that currently have other 'media' in the works, rather than trying to resurrect a franchise cold.
1. Blade Runner. Already has a great Adventure style game from 10 years or so back, plus the movie has a cult following. And anniversary editions and box sets of the DVD are in the works. Lends itself well to episodic format.
From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blade_runner); "After years of legal disputes, Warner Bros. announced in 2006 that it had finally secured full distribution rights to the film. They planned for three stages of releases for the film. First, a digitally remastered single-disc limited re-release of the 1992 Director's Cut was released on September 5, 2006 in the United States and on October 9, 2006 in Ireland and the UK. Second, Ridley Scott's new "Final Cut" of the film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2007. The third and final phase, a multi-disc box set including the two previously mentioned cuts, the U.S. and International cuts, and bonus features, is also scheduled for 2007. Warner Bros. has plans to release this box set not only on DVD, but also on the HD DVD and Blu-ray disc formats."
2. Dark Crystal. "Henson" has announced a new Manga-style comic set in the Dark Crystal universe, and there's a new Dark Crystal movie currently in production.
From wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Crystal); "A sequel, entitled Power of the Dark Crystal, is currently in (or about to begin) production for 2008. Genndy Tartakovsky is attached to direct. A detailed synopsis can be read at http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050515d.php.
A manga prequel, Legends of the Dark Crystal, is scheduled for publication by TokyoPop on November 13, 2007. The manga is written by Barbara Randall Kesel, with art by Max Kim. The story will be set hundreds of years before the story in The Dark Crystal, and before the Great Extermination."

Oh man.
How hilarious would it be if they made a Pirates of the Caribbean game?

For Maniac Mansion to work they'd have to make a lot of references to the original. Like bring back Dave from the first one. That would be amazing.

I didn't wast my time on Lucas games, since I know Lucas have been dicks to Telltale already and aren't giving them anything.

Must have been a very quick survey. Didn't see it yesterday and it was closed tonight. Ergo, I have no idea what I could/should vote for.

Must have been a very quick survey. Didn't see it yesterday and it was closed tonight. Ergo, I have no idea what I could/should vote for.
As far as I recall, the only real "choice" questions were "How did you buy/play Sam and Max?", "How did you hear about Sam and Max?". "Do you have a CD or DVD drive?", "Please rate Episodes 1-4 from least to favorite."
Otherwise, they just asked (separately) to list favorite TV shows, movies, and other media (books, comics, etc.) And had one textarea box asking you to finish the sentence "I would like for there to be a game (or game series) based on:"
I'm paraphrasing from memory of course. I'm sure if you email them at that feedback address, they'll still be listening.

The thread was started on the 15th so it was up for at least 3.5 days. ;)
I peeked at the survey and didn't have the mental energy to fill out all the favorite shows, movies, etc. but I don't recall them specifically asking what you want made into a game.
My first thought was that it was a marketing survey - an in depth look at who is playing their games and what other interests they have. :)

I don't think we need Telltale to make a Scooby Doo game. It's a popular enough franchise that there are a ton of Scooby Doo games already. Are any of them any good? I have no idea. But I'm pretty sure some of them are adventure games, albeit geared towards young children.
But even so, I wouldn't mind seeing a Telltale series. :D

GOOD ONE! That or Labyrinth... a proper graphic adventure based on Labyrinth would be so cool.

I do, and filled out the survey on day 1 :)
I think the DotT series would make a good series of games for Telltale. The Full Throttle story is more or less closed, I think.

Since I was a lazy sod and never took the survey, I'll just throw out a movie I love - Amelie.
And just to be goofy because it's hump day, how about The Sound of Music complete with 'The Lonely Goatherd' puzzle. :D

Care to elaborate? They tried to buy the rights to finish the Sam and Max game they were working on, and Lucas decided they'd rather not take their money and put the game in a closet just to spite them.
So I can't imagine they'd cough up the rights to Monkey Island or anything so generous. After all, what if it was successful? Then someone would look stupid for not producing the game in house. Better to not take any chances and protect their foolish pride.
I voted for Tex Murphy because the rights are up for grabs and the creators are presently free agents. The timing's perfect.

I'd love to see a game or 2 based on the Red Dwarf TV show.
http://www.ladyofthecake.com/reddwarf/assets/images/large01.jpg
The marketing apeal may be limited to Sci Fi comedy fans so commercially it will probably suck. ;(
For a mass apeal license, I would go for Lost. They could probably do mini episodes and release them weekly in conjuction with the TV shows or release a larger game in between seasons. Yes I am a big motherlovin Lost fan :D

Bump...I wonder if they will buy any of Sierra's old licenses now that those are being sold off.

Actually, and sadly, they aren't. The only Intellectual Property sold was Leisure Suit Larry (to Codemasters), and even in this case it is unsure whether they sold the entire series' IP or only Box Office Bust's one.

I've always wanted a game, or even book or fan fiction, of those young stories we knew as kids, geared more towards the adults that loved them. Like what were Fred and Daphanie really doing when they went to the attic when the gang "split up". ;)

I agree. A Red Dwarf game would be awesome. And there is a LOST game out there, although I hear it isn't too good. Your idea is great, though, about the mini episodes.
