This also works for Sanitarium!

Taken from Marouderxp on nvnews.net

For anyone using an 8800 with Runaway 2, I've found a solution to be able to play the game:

First of all, you need http://members.iinet.net.au/~gk2005/ha_d3dwindower188_hos.rar It's in a foreign language but you don't really need to do much. Extract the rar somewhere, run "D3dwindower.exe", click the "+", then point it to your Runaway 2 shortcut, click the play icon at the top, then just run your shortcut as normal. D3dwindower as the name suggests forces d3d apps to run in windowed mode. Works fine with this on my 8800gtx Changing from the standard 1024x768 res in d3dwindower doesn't go down too well, but from memory Runaway 2 only runs in 1024x768 anyway? So might as well just change the desktop

I have tried this myself and I can finally run Runaway 2 on my 8800gtx SLI.

I hope you are playing more than adventure games with your "investment" :D

I want a 8800 too! :9

I have to say, I dont. :(

There have not been any graphic intensive game for PC's for 3 months now and the last one was Splinter Cell Double Agent, which ironically did not work for 8800 without alot of tweaking. And then we have Call of Juarez which light engine is corrupt on 8800.

Instead im catching up on old games. The Suffering, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII etc.

I have played some Titan Quest but it was really boring.

So all I can do is to sit back, waiting for graphic intensive S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Alan Wake, Crysis, Bioshock, Stranglehold etc.
