I desperately need help with the game Paradise. I can't catch the sand dab. I can move Ann forward and backwards, right and left, and try and grab the sand dab, but I can't get it. I have been trying for 3 days!! Can anyone please send me a saved game??? I would very much appreciate it!! Or any suggestions on how to catch the sand dab? Thanks!!

I have read UHS, but it doesn't help. This puzzle is sluggish and slow for me and I can't grab one.

Welcome tiptoes. :)

I had a tough time with that part of the game as well. Poke through the UHS hints and if that doesn't help, try this thread (http://forums.adventuregamers.com/showthread.php?t=15391) which also had links to other hint threads as well. I found it to be a matter of trial and error. Start with Trep's link and the one's I gave you and we can go from there. :)

Thanks Melanie68. I read the links you sent. It sounds like it's all trial and error. I am just so frustrated after 3 days of trying to get that stupid sand dab! I was hoping for a saved game. I went to the one link that said he had uplifted the game, but it's not there. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate them. Thanks!

I desperately need a saved game for Paradise. I can't catch the sand dab. I've been trying for 3 days!! I can move Ann forward, backwards, right and left and can click on the reel to catch the stupid thing, but it NEVER happens. Can anyone please send me a saved game after catching it? Or any suggestions? Thanks!

I can't offer a savegame, but a tool that allows to skip that fishing part. Read about it here (http://forums.adventuregamers.com/showthread.php?t=15809), download it here (http://download.yousendit.com/ECEEBF6C21D32DB2).

Also, I can't guarantee that the tool still works (with the latest patches and all), but it most likely does. Backup the script.opk file if you are unsure, use with caution, etc etc.

Thank you Kuze and Melanie68! It worked and I am FINALLY through the sand dab part. I also saved before I did what you suggested, and I tried using the brown bait, as someone suggested, and it seemed to work. So, maybe that will help others if they read this. Thanks to the both of you!

This is fantastic news. I'm stuck in exactly the same place. What a crappy game Paradise is, programming-wise. Even my commodore 64 had no problems with many moving things on the screen, but the sand-dab scene is too much for my 1300 MHz Duron (which is probably 2000 times faster than the C-64).

It doesn't get any better, believe me.
I don't think the game is worth the trouble.

I'll try to get past the fishy scene using the hack, and if I get stuck again due to a stupid bug then there will be: The Adventures of Ann Smith on e-Bay.
